I think this is a defining moment and episode between Crockett and Tubb's as partners. Their partnership, trust and togetherness were cemented in "Evan"

This episode is so good on so many levels.

I absolutely agree. Probably why it's my favorite episode.

It's both defining and, I think, often misunderstood. Evan was saying it was Sonny's turn to be a man and redeem himself, not take a bullet. That was Evan's only remaining path to redemption (at least in his mind). For Sonny, I think it turned out to be the Burnett arc.

that shot is powerful

My favorite MV episode ever!   And that is one of the best scenes in the episode.  Also love the scene where C&T are sitting at the gas station in the middle of the night
