Another Daytona? (El Viejo)

Good catch!  Was there another scene filmed at this location?

Simple reason. They parked Crockett‘s car around the corner but not far enough for that scene with Switek and Zito. I just saw a behind the scenes footage of that location a few days ago where the Daytona was parked in front of the Royal Hotel on Washington Ave because the whole team arrived to search El Viejo’s room.

So it was sort of a mistake for it to be seen there? the top being up is an indicator of that I think. The only time I saw the Daytona with the top up was in "Bought and Paid For" when in was raining at night.

Yes, just a mistake. Actually they could have left the Daytona standing in front of Royal Hotel 758 Washington Ave or not brought it along at all, because it was never on camera anyway (the shot when Switek &Zito approached the entrance would also have avoided the Daytona to be seen), because all other scenes at the Royal Hotel were interior. The shot further down Washington when Crockett walked with Tubbs ended up in Tubbs´Caddy, so I wondered why they brought the Daytona down here at all.

I think it was up in "Cool Running" when they are chasing Noogie too.

Speaking of the top being up (and I could be wrong), but has anyone else noticed the top being up while they stakeout the drug lab near the beginning of “Milk Run”? I only realized this recently (if I’m even correct—it’s really dark). 

I think some of you guys are a little too obsessed with Miami Vice... Wait, I guess that’s why we’re here!
