Wrote the episodes "Cool Runnin'", "Calderone's Return (Part I)", "Calderone's Return (Part II)" (co-writer), "The Great McCarthy", "Little Prince", "Made for Each Other", "Lombard", and "Out Where the Buses Don't Run" as well as serving as executive story consultant for Vice's first season and part of the second season.

Yes he was only credited to two episodes in the second season “Out where the Buses..” and “Dutch Oven”. He then took over as a show runner on “The Equalizer” in the 1985-86 season which was its first year.

Daniel Pyne (“Rites of Passage” and “Prodigal Son”) took over Surnow’s role as Executive Script and story editor).
