  1. March 25th - March 31st: "Nobody Lives Forever", the 20th episode of the 1st season, premiered on NBC on Friday, March 29th, 1985 at 10PM EST. Some notes on this episode (from Miami Vice Wiki): * Crockett is the recipient of the famous "Castillo Staredown" (his second this season), for shirking his duty in favor of romance. * Brenda makes reference to the renovation of the Art Deco buildings in South Beach. This renovation trend is often said to be partially influenced by Miami Vice as, in early seasons of the show, producers would repair and re-paint damaged buildings so that they would form an acceptable background to the footage they were filming. Other initiatives subsequently followed suit, eventually leading to the revitalization of the South Beach area, a process that continues today. One example of this is the Tides hotel, seen in the background when Crockett shoots down the third wild punk. The building is now The Tides South Beach and is a luxury hotel. * Brenda's house would reappear as one of the cat burglar's targets in the third season episode "Shadow In The Dark." * During the opening sequence, Ace (Frank Military), tells one of Morgan's bookies "You don't look so bad, here's another." This line was allegedly spoken word for word by the New York vigilante subway shooter Bernhard Goetz, which caused over 50 complaint calls to NBC in 1985, mainly from New York City. According to NBC's then-head of Broadcast Standards, the line was ad-libbed by Military and was not in the script and that the scene in question was filmed two days before Goetz's admission was made public. * Tubbs is very obviously played by his stunt double, Ernest Robinson, in the scene where the last of the punks tries to run him down with his stolen car. **There was no Season 2 premiere episode this week** "Knock, Knock...Who's There?", the 21st episode of the 3rd season, premiered on NBC on Friday, March 27th, 1987 at 9PM EST. Some notes on this episode (from Miami Vice Wiki): * This is one of two episodes whose title ends with a question mark. * IAD Agent Stroh will return to investigate Tubbs in Season 4's "Amen... Send Money." **There was no Season 4 premiere episode this week** **There was no Season 5 premiere episode this week**

  6. Shades of flying boats and thoughts of One Way Ticket with Sagot...and C&T in a mini-boat getting a face full of salt water with some speed added to actual motion...and then a boat flying through the intersection in Lend me an Ear. at about the 3:34 mark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DOGsSagtVg

  7. The footbridge on the right is the same one you see at the end of the boat chase in One Way Ticket. Even though you can't see the bridge in the teaser it is a clue to solving the case because it indicates the area of Miami Beach.

  9. And if you ever wanted another character (which could be male or female), don't forget that Eddie's wife was pregnant in the pilot episode when he was blown up - who knows, he/she might blame Sonny for their father being killed?

  10. Well okay... this movie separates the ghosts.I did laugh with this one like an idiot but all my friends (EXCEPT ALLEYCAT ) told me it would be the most damn madness they ever watched. They critized especially these few 'male sexual encounters' and were apalled and even disgusted :birdie: .NONSENSE - that is simply comedy. If you have 90 minutes off in your live... do it - watch it!

  11. actually I must give a shout out to this track, I always come back to this it seems FYI Neros77 had an excelent video of this mixed in with the Total Recal movie with a quote from it at the end. but the Copywrite Nazi's of youtube got him, guess they just wont ever understand what a transformative work is and how much of a good thing it really is in this kind of form. that and Silent Gloves: Running Hot, which I'm still waiting to come back from someone else, god I miss that song.

  12. I understand the economics of doing this as a digital comic ... but what a pain to try to get it. Only on Amazon, is that right? That's where Lion Forge's own website takes you when you click "buy." We do have the very first Kindle -- but I don't think it supports color. I'm not even sure it supports pictures. I just think given a big chunk of the audience for this comic will be fans 40 and older, they might be shooting themselves in the foot by not having a few actual printed copies for we oldsters to buy.

  14. You aren't alone in liking the Burnett stuff. As silly as the idea was, Don Johnson ROCKED as a villain. Technically it's season 5, but I love that opening shot of him in Hostile Takeover, where he turns to the camera looking all badass. It's one of my favourite moments of the entire series. Johnson made a brilliant bad guy.

  16. Thanks Joe :)I love that song! I really would love to have it! I think those 3 episodes (Mirror Image, Hostile Takeover, and Redemption in Blood) were great MV episodes ! Don Johnson made a great bad guy and looked so cool and so mean with his hair slicked back, the dark sun glasses, and a suit and tie !
