The Art Director of Burn Notice told me he and several people who worked on the show were Miami Vice fans. Some even worked on Vice. There is little doubt that the lips and similarities in characters, locations, plot elements, dialogue etc were a deliberate nod to Vice. Vice was the show that started it all and inspired another action/drama/detective type show in Miami.4 points

So it turns out there were two red-heads in the OCB. It was discussed in this informative (but difficult to read) thread: https://miamiviceonline.com/index.php?/topic/3073-dear-dumb-dio-died/ They sit at the same desk apparently. If you sit at Sonny's desk and look past Rico, you would see Mark & Dio's desk. Mark is identified in Free Verse. He wheels Sandoval into the conference room. As Sonny leaves, he says "Mark" and looks at Mark and points to Sandoval in the wheelchair. Mark does not have a speaking role that I can find. Dio is identified in The Big Thaw during the opening credits. Stan yells at him, "Hey, Dio, clean off Sonny's desk, will you?" Here is Dio with the bald cigar guy. At the end of Prodigal Son when C&T return to the OCB, I believe this is Mark: And in the same scene that is Dio sitting down:4 points

My wife and I were 16 when Miami Vice first aired. Although we did not know each other then, we both looked forward to the show each week. Those were great days with many memories of ordering pizza, watching the show with family and loving the sights and scenes. Through the years we have continued to watch episodes. Now we watch the show with our kids who are in their late teens. They generally seem to love the show, especially since we are car collectors. After all these years of loving the show we have never had a collectible item associated with the actors or set. We thought we would join here and try to see if anyone knows of a marketplace where some of these items may be available. Thank you to everyone who works on this website and keeps Miami Vice going. By the way, tonight we watched the episode where Crockett got the Testarossa to replace the Daytona.3 points

An extra in the background, that I might not have noticed, if it hadn't been for her son Eric Seiden, sharing these pictures of his mother on the set of Miami Vice. The photos he shared: https://www.flickr.com/search/?sort=date-taken-desc&safe_search=1&tags=miamivice&user_id=18431794%40N00&view_all=1 "This is mom on the set of Miami Vice. She was on the show on and off for years. The set was closed but we took bunches of photos." Looks like her in the "Dutch Oven" And in the opening scene of "Yankee Dollar."2 points

It must be a lot of fun to have that kind of talent.2 points

What about the red haired fellow cop in OCB who appeared in all seasons in the background (they referred to him as „Mark“ once) before he was stabbed to death in the final episode while guarding the safe house?2 points

It's in the S2 episode "LMD." The bald guy hands Rico flowers and says "Hey Tubbs, someone left this downtown for you." Tubbs replies ouhh. It sounds like the guy says "I don't know" and then "There is a card."2 points

I can't remember the episode either but it was a scene when he hands Rico flowers or a gift and he questions who are they from and he replies something like "there is a card there" The Bald guy was part of so many important scenes as well, at the end of "Walk Alone" "The Hit List" (in the night club) "Lombard" safe-house part. In my opinion he was probably a personal friend of a producer because he was included so many times.2 points

Both are a set at Greenwich Studios. But looks like they used the same created "hospital set," only repainted it. The hallway also looks similar. The last screenshot is also a set.1 point

Try and keep up with the game Dadrian! Do you know how many times I’ve had to scroll to the top to see what game we were on before answering? And I’m always on the wrong one.1 point

yeah that makes totally sense that with that proximity with Texas, these are located on the west coast. ty jim i have a bad news for you pals. i was testing Google earth, and it seems Castillo house is a .. ruin. i'm not sure about it, but it looks bad (see link). if a Miamian could investigate this, it would be a good thing. I'm not talking of invading a private property. just go there with a camera, see if there's any fence, and do 4 - 5 shots. a 2 - 3 minutes affair max https://earth.google.com/web/@25.7180944,-80.24581273,1.91966515a,46.04190711d,35y,-148.87240104h,61.32027563t,0r/data=ClUaUxJNCiUweDg4ZDliN2Q5YTFlY2YxZDk6MHgxMWU2NzE4ZGM1OGZmMTRiGQQ9L3DUtzlAIXwOhwC7D1TAKhIzMzUxIFBvaW5jaWFuYSBBdmUYASAB if for some reason the link doesn't work for you, 3351 Poinciana Ave, Miami FL 33133. I really loved that house in the series. mainly for its sobriety. and the serenity that emanated from it1 point

These are all Carrera 5512 shades, but three different pairs. 1. Sonny’s have the logo blacked out with rose gradient lenses (Rico does wear these in “Cool Runnin’”) 2. Rico’s have flat lenses to reduce reflection on set (like Sonny’s Wayfarers). 3. The barista’s shades have blue logo and stripes.1 point

Nancy Valen: 2nd pic isn't as good, but those who know this show well enough remember her as the hooker that asks Sonny for a light in "The Great McCarthy" episode. The first pic is from "The Home Invaders", and for all I know she might actually be playing the same character. I first saw her on an episode of "Saved by the Bell" and it might've been the first time I got butterflies in my stomach for an actress that WASN'T Tiffany Amber Thiessen lol. I was probably about 7 at the time. Danica McKellar (Winnie Cooper from "The Wonder Years") was my other big crush back then. Even now as a adult I still prefer brunettes over blondes and I think these ladies are the reason why.1 point

Jpaul, if you have not seen the Six Million Dollar Man, The Song and Dance Spy from season 3 episode 4 recently, then go watch it. That is Susie Coelho at 22 years old. See if you think that she is the same girl as in the pilot episode of MV. Mind you she would have been 31 in 1984. The stripper looked to be early 20’s. Not the same girl in my opinion.1 point

I watched the episode "Out Where The Buses Don't Run" last night. Can't stop listening to this. It's from one of the best scenes in television. Better than Definitely Miami's ending, in my opinion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nw1HGS1MN-01 point

I always thought that his name was Diehl (John Diehl ), or something like that. I remember Switek saying his name in some episode where they moved desks etc. in the OCB. the ep could have been The Big Thaw... Guess i'll have to watch that again to get confirmation.1 point
