  3. Hi @all! First I want to apologize for beeing not here for a long time. My priorities where somewhere else for the last months. But thanks to that sad Covid pandemia I have now much time to watch vice :). I watched this unfamous episode yesterday, at first I wanted to skip it but then decided to watch it, because I often skipped it over the last years. As after every episode I've seen, I visited cglide's location site. There I saw that the location for "Astrolife" is not confirmed yet. He wrote that it could be inside the "Grove Harbour Cinema", of which we saw the exterior in the teaser. Well, I don't think this was shot there, because the location where we meet James Brown looked for me like a real planetarium. I thought there can't be too much in the Miami area so I made a few investigations. Finally I found the Miami Science Museum, which got a planetarium in 1966 equipped with a rare Spitz Model B Space Transit Projector. If you search for the projector, it looks very similar to the one we see in the show. I then googled for the planetarium itself, and found these pictures and compared them to screenshots of the episode: The pictures are from this site. If you look at the surrounding of the projector and the seats I'm 100% sure that the "Astrolife" scenes where shot there. Unfortunately the Museum with the planetarium closed in 2015 and was relocated to a new site. At this time it was the last Spitz Model B STB projector still in service. It is now a no operational display at the new museum. The old museum was located at 3280 South Miami Avenue, Miami, Florida, United States. I think the buildings are still intact. I hope cglide can now update this location on his site. Greetings, Andreas

  6. I wish I knew what link I posted above? This is the shot he is talking about. That bridge is the Turnpike. This view is from the Turnpike looking down at the sandy road. The rig is gone. https://goo.gl/maps/rxuYy6f3Xa61kpag8

  7. Great pic! The famous Bushido episode that faced a complete production shutdown for weeks because no director was available due to a planning mistake and EJO stepped in to get things rolling again. accidentally EJO helped with this move that DJ became director. DJ was so pissed that EJO could direct and he not that they let him direct the next episode (Back in the World) in return and he „thanked“ them back by overrunning episode budget by nearly a million.

  11. A couple of months ago I posted a thread asking for Miami Vice filming locations as I was headed to Miami for a few days and many of you were very helpful, thank you! So I thought I'd share this video I made while I was there. Enjoy!

  14. Damn the front lights are different I thought the car color could be the same, like one looked different because of the shade or lighting.

  16. Awesome! This melody was also used during the Lamborghini chase in Bought and Paid For. Is it factory brass preset from Memorymoog @Dadrian ?

  22. I know I'm gonna sound like I'm back-peddling here, but I honestly do enjoy finding (and wearing) other clothes that look like the clothes Don wore that had patterns instead of solid colors. I've been taking snapshots from the show as I've been re-watching it, and have been getting some great ideas for expanding my wardrobe. For me, wearing a white blazer that has stripes, or even just a solid off-white/tan is more fun than "going with the obvious". Not to knock your choice of clothes, but I like to take inspiration from the Vice/Crockett style, and put my own original spin on it. TBH, my overall style of dress looks closer to Tubbs, but with Crockett's colors (with the exception of double breasted jackets or shoes with laces). Sorta like how I don't wear t-shirts with blazers (more-so to avoid sweat stains on the collar), and wear polos instead. I wear shorts instead of pants (yes, with a blazer) mostly due to how hot it is here in Florida. Got plenty of those in pastel colors. (as well as interesting patterns that are very "Vice"). Finding pants in my size is a real pain. Lately I've bit the bullet and started getting them hemmed, but I think I accidentally asked for them to be a little shorter than I wanted, mostly since I do plan on at least trying to wear pants with slip-ons, so they need to run a little shorter. Lastly, regarding whites shoes: Here in Florida where it rains a lot and there's plenty of sand, they ain't white for very long, lol. Better off with some off-white and light gray's. I think I have a pair of pastel blue slip-ons bookmarked to buy i the future. Eh, I know it takes a lot of courage to dress that way in public, so I commend ya for it. I just try to tell myself that no matter how ridiculous I think I may look, everywhere I turn I see so many young people walking around wearing house slippers with BLACK socks out in public. That or CROCS!! Blech.
