  1. I think @Crockettt should have 10 points taken away for being so familiar with Hell Hath No Fury.

  2. I don’t exactly dress like DJ but I’ve borrowed some elements and have gotten both compliments and ppl making fun of me! But I don’t care what ppl think I dress how I want when I want! Very few people dress his style anyway so copying him isn’t a big deal anymore. I’ll also add that girls actually like it while some dudes make fun of it I’ll take compliments from girls over other men. Honestly a lot of men hate the idea of wearing a lot of white or light colored anything I get so much crap for white pants from other men because they don’t have the confidence to wear it. Just my two cents and happy to be here!

  3. Famous movie director Michael Bay played a small acting role in Free Verse as "Goon #3". Morgan Richter mentioned it in her review (starts around 3:12): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_ZdGdZIArU She hunted for his face but couldn't find it. By process of elimination, this should be goon #3: This is Bay, looking very different: Can anybody spot Bay in this episode?

  4. there is a 6:58' remix version of "Cry" which I think is the one that was used on the episode. Maybe the person whop posted that trivia record on imdb took it to be a JH tune, as it has extended instrumental parts.

  6. This little lake would be so easy to find if we had a contemporary aerial, but https://www.historicaerials.com/ only has 1980 and 1995 aerials for this area. The amusement park was built in 1983 and demolished in 1993, and they filled in the lake. I had thought we were seeing the Hollywood Water Tower at the SW corner of Sheridan & I-95. But now I'm leaning towards a more likely choice: The old Dania Water Tower at Stirling Rd & the railroad tracks (near Phippen Waiters Rd). https://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/fl-xpm-1988-06-03-8802020308-story.html This is my best guess from the 1980 aerial. red = girl's body yellow = Dania Water Tower

  7. Ooooh. Not one of my favorites, either!

  8. I found a photo of the Dania water tower. It was indeed silver, just like the one we see in the MV scene.

  9. Wow, Crockettt, that was fast! Very good!

  10. I was not able to find him in any scene and there are not many to choose from (the abduction scene, the beach scenes at the end) especially since he is listed as a speaking role in the end credits (extras without speaking line are not listed there). But the picture comparison above ("elimination leads to goon#3....") made me laugh! No way that Bay is the Castillo type shown there (he appeared in another episode as well as an extra), not even the best plastic surgeon could make that happen....

  11. As far as I remember it was said that he is visible in the abduction scene in the bar (but I never noticed him in this scene either ;-)...

  13. Noogie doesn't get the credit he deserves in this. If he didn't bring that guy to Sonny and Rico, Gina most likely would have been killed. He saved her life.

  14. That's news to me. I was lucky enough to be there for the original airings and "Cry" was always in the episode. I don't doubt it's a possibility that there was a last minute change but the "Cry" version is the only one I've ever known.

  15. @airtommyI would say you got it mang! What we see in this scene and your screencap is definitely quite a large lake with vegetation only on the other side and a significant mould of the water’s edge with a public street (going by the curb) next to it plus the water tower in the distance. All these clues are confirmed and triangulate with your marked spot. To countercheck and to get a feeling of the new potential location distance to the waterpark, I tried to match your 1980s map with CGlides map on his location site where he pinpointed the former location of the amusement/waterpark that was the main filming location and demolished in 1992/1993 with lake removed and new motorways built since then. Map below is the result (borrowed from CGlide with my additions on top), of course this is not exact, but a good estimate especially when taking the narrow diagonally running canal and the rectangular lake which is also still there as an orientation point (BLUE=approximate location of lake which is gone now, YELLOW= former water tower location, STAR= former 6 Flags atlantis waterpark location as pinpointed by C Glide, RED=approximate filming of girl found location). Bottom line: that map supports your find based on location logistics. The location with the girl´s body was just south of the 6 Flags waterpark and maybe even on the south end of the premises. What a pity that Historic Aerials misses exactly the 1986 status of that property, but I think we got it nailed now anyhow! I think @C Glide has to update his location pages again!

  16. According to deuxflicsamiami.fr Michael Bay appeared in the scene where Sandoval is at a hotel beachfront waiting for the kidnappers. Bay is hardly visible. https://www.deuxflicsamiami.fr/Acteurs/Guests-stars/Michael-Bay.html

  21. I look at it this way. As long as you feel good in your Vice clothing the muscle tone does not matter. If you walk around with confidence as you dress like Crockett or Tubbs others will notice in a good way.

  28. The Red tape review is based on a misunderstanding IMO. Tubbs‘ behavior is not bad continuity by the writers and yes, they did everything (well) to really make us believe that Tubbs has defected. He even had his new aggressive behavior with Switek alone in the office with nobody else around. He was not forced to maintain this charade at this point but it was safer and more credible within the force and to mislead the viewer. In 30 years of watching this episode I never came onto the same negative conclusion or idea about the character development quality like she did here. But maybe she needs to take an „advocatus diaboli“ position on everything to spice up her reviews?

  29. This is a very unique floor indeed - it’s a big interior which would rule out 1238 Ocean. It reminds me of The Clevelander but is not it. I also looked at The Royal Palm and Jerry’s but not those also. Miami Vice shot a lot interior wise in Ocean Drive hotels in Season 4. This is perhaps another of those finding on the ground locations so I will check out on the ground. Same incidentally of “Down for the Count” part 2 - not the same floor as HAT but an Art Deco floor.
