  1. Because I have a good energy flow tonight (and I love you guys so much and don´t want to keep you hangin´on), I also solved the eternal riddle with the unknown consulate location! NEW LOCATION FOUND: The consulate (and the background in Rock and a hard place with the reporters bullying Crockett&Caitlin) No wonder that we could not find the colored wall pattern, because it does not exist anymore. The facade belongs to an architecture company (Dennis Jenkins & Associates) and was changed several times. But, I have pictures from the original state as seen in VICE (with one exception: the doors have been changed as they had only half glass doors in the episode, thus my pictures have been taken after VICE filmed and the doors have changed to full glass doors)! The "Consulate" letters were fake. In order not to torture you anymore (although these few seconds do not make a difference after 35 years of searching...): Dennis Jenkins & Associates (website with some of the pictures and background information: https://www.altmanarchitects.com/dennis-jenkins-associates-south-miami-florida) 5813 SW 68th Street, Miami In order to prove that it is the right location and not just another similar facade pattern, I encircled two areas on the location and on the screen caps from Rites of passage and Rock and a hard place. Please note specifically the order of colors on the last vertical row when Crockett&Tubbs enter the building and the diagonal structure in the reflection of the car window. Below are 2 pictures of the original state like in the episode plus two how it looks today plus satellite pics. Enjoy! @C Glideyou need to catch up with my pace! Now we have all locations found in Rites of Passage! The only secret remains why the heck they filmed this short snippet from "Rock and a hard place" miles away from Miracle Mile where they filmed the rest of these scenes!?! ENJOY!

  2. NEW LOCATION FOUND - The Party house of Traynor and Lyle in RITES OF PASSAGE This is for sure the earliest and longest overdue house mystery location in the whole series (season 1) and it´s finally solved! I nearly gave up on it as I have been searching extensively over the last few weeks without any result and now I know why. I always thought this house must be on a small island at the bay, because the circled driveway (roundabout) when they left after abducting Diane drove me off, but the house is landlocked with lots of vegetation around and the L-shaped structure with the flat white roof gave it finally away. The circled driveway is there as well. And again, it´s in Pinecrest (yes, I know, I can hear you @airtommy ....!) 6600 SW 98 Street, Pinecrest section of Miami Luckily, there are beautiful pictures from real estate agents from this house for us to study and prove it´s the right location (https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/6600-SW-98th-St_Pinecrest_FL_33156_M58559-40957). This one even has a Youtube video: Some nice pics you can see below. One shows the balcony at the party where C&T dragged Diane away. The house was built in 1982 and costs around 2,4 mill. @C Glide I fear you are further falling behind in updating your location site...! Enjoy!

  4. I'm kicking myself that I didn't notice this was the same house as Rising Sun of Death. I actually don't even remember this night exterior scene.

  5. Amazing work! Another needle in the haystack found. I contacted the Mayor of Pinecrest and he said they will be filing papers on Monday to annex this part of Kendall.

  6. NEW LOCATION: Crockett´s and Caitlins house is found. It is the same house as in Rising sun of death and Love at first sight. Please go to RSOD episode thread for details. 10900 SW 83 Ct, Miami (Kendall section)

  7. NEW LOCATION FOUND: CROCKETT´S AND CAITLIN´S HOUSE! As they say: all good things come in threes. That is the third new location in two days that I have found and it took only 5 minutes. If I go on with that kind of speed, I´ll find all missing locations of the series before @C Glide even takes notice of it! To start with: this house is not in Park Lane and not in Coconut Grove! @airtommy @Matt5 despite the chain fence we saw! It is technically in Kendall or according to some realtors in Coral Gables, but not in Pinecrest! Airtommy can rest assured that I can find houses everywhere, not just in Pinecrest area ! Second: this house is the same house (exterior and interior!) for Crockett and Caitlin used in "Love at first sight" and "Rock and a Hard place" (we have discussed before that the scene where C&C arrive at the house to buy it was not filmed with RSOD - Sheena Easton was not even contracted at time of filming! - but with LAFS). I´ll show evidence below to prove that. Third: the house is still at a dead end, but it is a circled driveway now and vis a vis (behind the chain fence we saw) there is no free space but a neigbour house now) Fourth: the house is pretty much unchanged but it was repainted to white. Fifth: the house is in a very bushy neighborhood and close to the first victims in Home Invaders that live also overgrown under heavy green canopy. That was a key clue to find it that fast. I focused on dead end streets with heavy vegetation. 10900 SW 83 Court, Miami (Kendall section) Proof that it is the same house in all three episodes is below with a series of episode stills. Significant parts are marked in red and will later match with the real house. Please specifically pay attention to the window pane pattern, the two walls in front of the house (both have partially glass tiles laid in). The higher wall can be seen well in the pictures below, the lower wall starts right in the garden, is curved and is best seen well in the episode when C&C walk towards the house. The stairs that Crockett comes down in early LAFS are close to the main entrance and can be seen at the end of RAAHP through the open door when Caitlin leaves at the end. Then there is a series of pics and satellites, unfortunately there are no good/sharp exterior/interior pics available (Google street view only covers right part of the driveway that we are not interested in and the tree in the middle is blocking good sight to the house !) and the front is hidden by trees from the satellite view, but I think they are good enough to prove the location. One picture shows the new circled driveway instead of the dead end stop and the new neighbours. ENJOY! P.S. Caitlin and Crockett were ripped off by realtor Rita Van Weens! The house was sold in 2010 for 487k USD and Caitlin said in 1987(!) that it was a steal for 875k instead of 1.2m USD due to a Colombian gentlemen with legal problems! I would say C&C did some accidental money laundering by overpaying the Colombian!

  10. Nice try, when all else fails, look close to the studio. Would love to find this location being used in two episodes. This just shows how wrong our originals hunches (near the studio, near the other limo scenes in this episode on Miracle Mile) were! No way I would I have ever found this location by satellite or even walking by without two coincidences: the building is the head office of an interior designer and the architect who built and designed the place took pictures of it when he was finished as a reference. Lesson learned: location logistics is sometimes the wrong dogma, as they sometimes travelled miles to good locations. For RAAHP this leaves a mystery: WHY did the film this scene there, 4 miles away from other locations (Miracle Mile), when the great building is not even seen on screen, only in a window reflection? The only far fetched explanation I have is that they filmed some of the interior limo driving scenes with C&C along the S.Dixie Highway stretch between Miracle Mile and SW 68 Street ...

  13. Now, hold on! You still are torturing me because you haven't explained how you found this. How did you do it? I notice this same architecture firm designed the Love 94 studio building that we see in "Stone's War". https://www.altmanarchitects.com/#/love94-radio-north-miami-florida/

  15. Amazing @Tom! Congrats! I’ve always loved this house. Now I just gotta find $2.4M, and we can all get together and have a party there (sans hookers).

  16. 30+ years since Miami Vice ended it's original run, this Swiss fashion store brochure advertises "Dark and light blue as base, with a TOUCH OF MIAMI VICE: pastelly colors, light fabrics, the subtle gloss of mercerized yarns". This tells something about the perpetual influence on fashion that Vice has left behind, or has anyone recently seen a magazine advertising with "a touch of Rockford Files" or "a touch of the Streets of San Francisco"
