  2. Definitely a great episode! One of the best in the series, and what a way to open up the second season! I love most things New York, especially films and television series that are filmed there, I have a strong affinity for the city, and seeing Crockett and Tubbs run amok in NY makes for great viewing. This episode also features arguably my favourite sequence in the whole series... Crockett packing up to return to Miami and making his way to the airport while the suspense starts to linger with Tubbs... will he or won't he return to Miami (of course we knew that he would, it's hard to have a new season minus one of the main characters, ha ha), but that brief suspense is subtly intense, and then to see Tubbs running through the airport to catch the plane, it makes for a powerful moment, powerful and happy, topped off by Crockett greeting Tubbs at the counter. We know then that these two guys have become real friends and real partners, and value each other and have each other's backs. And that sequence being soundtracked by Phil Collins' 'Take Me Home' only makes it's all the more brilliant. And of course once Crockett and Tubbs do get back to Miami, it's great to see that Gina has recovered too. One thing too about this episode is that it reinforces the fact that Sonny has a terrible judgement when it comes women for the most part. Not a fan of Margaret's character, but she is there to serve her purpose. And speaking of female guest stars, one name... Pam Grier brilliant as always, and badass when she goes into "Foxy Brown mode" at the meet with the Revillas where she basically saves the day. And another much deserved mention goes to Sonny walking the NY streets at night accompanied by Glenn Frey's 'You Belong to the City'. That right there is ultra cool, and that whole scene could basically define the 80s as a whole, magnificent. Overall I found the episode to be well written, and the plot is more than worthy of any feature film. The only scene that could be seen as being a little over the top is Sonny shooting down the helicopter, ha ha, but it is television, so a suspension of disbelief is naturally needed, and hey, if anyone is going to shoot down a helicopter, then you can best believe that it's gonna be James "Sonny" Crockett I rate this episode a solid 9.5/10

  4. Article says the Doctors Daytona was originally silver and red interior, I have a hard time believing this. Anyone know any more on this issue. First time I ever heard this. You have to read the entire article..

  8. I rate this episode at least an 8/10.It isn't the best in the series, but it certainly isn't the worst either. The secondary plot of Sonny's Ferrari being taken is what really makes this episode for me, classic stuff. And features Eartha Kitt as a guest star, enough said.

  13. @daytona365 I just found the Rita house! It´s not in any of the areas we thought. I had it in 5 minutes today after I googled for homes with Banyan trees and I found a "Big Bubble in Miami" article (same magazine that helped you to find the Ross home) with a picture where the Rita house was next to it. https://thebigbubblemiami.com/2020/03/18/1915-cottage-in-south-coconut-grove-lists-for-1-5-million/ RITA HOUSE (SAL LOMBARDs HOME), 3765 Stewart Ave, Coconut Grove The Banyan tree is still there, but on current Google View the house looks very run down and in renovation. It was built in 1986. But there are great realtor pics exactly proving our location. The first picture is from the magazine how I found it. The reason why there is so much open green jungle behind Al Lombard who is standing looking at the house in the episode is solved now as well. The opposite lot is empty and also was in 1986. Our location search sketch was correct, as the borders to the surrounding lots prove (Corner of property just behind or rather in the middle of the Banyan tree) ENJOY! Next cold case closed, I bet the Lombard home is not far away and will be next....! P.S. another beautiful pink home in 1989 that was messed up by applying ackward colors on the outside (Ocean Drive syndrome)

  14. The Flirts - Helpless (You Took My Love) 1983 - Season 1. Sounds like the song in "Little Prince" when they chase that guy at the beginning.
