  1. UNKNOWN LOCATION FOUND: THE LAST CRIME SCENE Lesson learned: the easiest explanations for locations are usually the best and the right ones. I heave searched for weeks for the pool behind the house with the veranda in Miami Beach (art deco pattern on the building) and even near the Atlantis, as this scene is so small. As I did not find anything, I looked again at 3650 Flamingo Drive, the first crime scene. Originally I had dismissed it for location re-use due to the pool distance and size, although I considered that they often re-used locations for small other locations in the same episode. But I was sloppy and when I went back to Flamingo Drive in despair and took a second look, everything fits. This second, lost crime scene was filmed at the back of 3650 Flamingo Drive building (the front was used for the hit on Zefirelli and Tubbs in his car). I could not have found & solved it without historic aerials as the pool was replaced and the small veranda removed. 100% matches: the pool reflection shows a corner of a flat roof second story. The corner comes forward near the corner of the swimming pool the pool has a broad edge and is approx. 5m from the house the roofed glass veranda is right of this rectangular building part sticking out towards the pool the walking path starts at the left end of the veranda, not in the middle there is a space to the neighbor´s house (built in 1929, has a corner, two stories and a window on the second floor) where the bikers start their engines there is another building corner of a neighbors house visible most crucial proof: the art deco pattern of the building facade matches exactly (rectangular pattern with diagonal lines meeting in a round middle dot) and we know that Art Deco patterns are unique. This house was built in 1939. I used a current realtor picture from the front as comparison: https://www.redfin.com/FL/Miami-Beach/3650-Flamingo-Dr-33140/home/42787327 Remarks: the coconut palm tree that we see next to the pool was planted shortly before filming. It is NOT on the 1986 historic aerials as VBFH was filmed 18-26 February 1987. the bikers drive off into the blue. Where they are heading is another neighbor house. Here is my photo story proving all summarized above ENJOY!

  4. Okay, regarding the three episodes (World Of Trouble, Miracle Man, Leap Of Faith) that aired on NBC after Freefall, for those of you watching during the original NBC run, were you somehow aware that these were 'new' episodes, did NBC make any mention of that in advertising (and I don't mean big fireworks or anything, simply designating them as "new")? Or were they just thrown into the summer burn-off pile and forgotten?Same deal for USA's airing of Too Much, Too Late. Did USA ever make any kind of deal about it being a "lost" episode, or were those of you tuning into for your post-NBC MV fix surprised by a previously unseen ep out of the blue?

  5. Hi there, For such an iconic, ground-breaking show, I'm truly amazed that it's not available on any streaming service in the UK. Amazon have Season 1 available to buy but where are the other four seasons? Same with iTunes. Netflix, AppleTV+, Sky, Starz - it's just not available anywhere. I'd even consider buying the full collection in HD as digital download if it was possible. I don't have a Blu-Ray plater so that option is out. Is it really that difficult to watch? I remember back when I was a kid, watching this every week here in England. It was so popular. Kind Regards

  9. I would also add "Viking Bikers From Hell" as Tubbs was shot, but lived and Sonny was almost killed by Reb. It ends with Sonny listing Tubbs in the hospital after Tubbs recovered from a concussion. While the Wire's Sister disappears with the money it does seem possible she was going to do something good with it.

  12. Thanks Dadrian and Zaq 178. Here are some shots of my recent MV models. I be sure to post some Daytona picts and despite your well documented Daytona journey Zaq, I will probably have some questions along the way.

  13. I really like creepy/spooky stuff too! “The Serpent and the Rainbow” was directed by Wes Craven who wrote and directed “Nightmare on Elm Street”. I have been a big fan of that series since I was a little kid. To me that’s one of the most inventive horror series out there. It was inspired by news stories of people being horribly afraid to fall asleep fearing they would die. Several people did die in their sleep and they had no health issues noted. There is also a great “Twilight Zone” episode titled “Perchance To Dream”, which has a similar plot but that guy had heart problems if I remember correctly.

  14. It’s been many many years, but I have seen The Serpent and the Rainbow. Very creepy, wild movie! Supposedly, it’s based on a true story, but I question how much the movie was real and how much was made up for the movie itself. I like and enjoy “Tale of the Goat”...as I tend to like creepy/spooky stuff. I too do NOT like “Freefall” and I hate it that it’s the supposed end! Sometimes I choose to not watch it when going through the show again, as I’ve sadly seen it enough times before.

  15. LOL, well “Tale of the Goat” is a worse episode to me, but it’s not unwatchable. I really like the movie with a similar plot: “Serpent and the Rainbow”. I’ll watch any MV episode. I have boycotted “Freefall” for a long time, but I do plan on watching it soon again, as I’m watching the series from start to finish again this summer.

  16. With this episode, you may need some Pepto Bismol because it may cause upset stomach, vomiting, and/or diarrhea. Awful episode. Just terrible. I think the circus in the OCB really overdid it. What a joke. This nearly undermines the Vice unit’s credibility as a serious operation. And then you have that big squabble at the end with scenes of the dog barking in the car. That may seem like a minor detail, but... ugh, this has the hallmarks of some very campy screwball movie. This really seems like a parody of MV by somebody smoking crack. That song “What is Life” is also very terrible. I don’t care for reggae music. The only reggae-ish music I like is reggae-inspired new wave like The Police and Culture Club.

  17. Really cool shot. I don’t remember seeing Rico wear a skinny tie like that. It seems like he never wore a tie in season 1. I could be wrong, though! Sonny’s shirt looks like it could be polyester or nylon. Very interesting shade of pink, looks like the color of raspberry ice cream!

  18. Zaq 178, I now it's been some time, but Excellent build on your Daytona! I am also trying to build this, but I am using the Fujimi Ferrari Daytona as my base model. The Fujimi has it's own issues, but I wanted to try a different approach as I have already done the Revell MV Daytona. I will definitely not be getting into the amount of detail you put into your masterpiece, but any words of wisdom that you learned from your experience? Thanks!

  21. EXACT APARTMENT FOUND: DALE MENTON´S (AND JOE DAN´S PLACE IN INDIAN WARS, allegedly in Boca) 520 Brickell Key Drive, Brickell One Building, Apartment 1207 @Dadrian found this matching between both episodes some time ago,, so the location is not new, but the apartment is. I was never aware that we see the apartment number in this episode to identify the exact apartment (I haven´t seen Golden Triangle for quite some time). The number is clearly visible and on the side wall, not on the door itself. Funny enough, this exact apartment is on the market, https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/520-Brickell-Key-Dr-Apt-A1207_Miami_FL_33131_M69228-62445#photo0 but "completely remodeled" (I don´t get why they are proud of that, because it looks like a boring garden variety apartment now and was so cool back in 1984 and 1987). Such a shame that this landmark is gone, but we know now exactly where it was!

  22. According to Rick Bravo the dive bar scene was filmed in the back room of some shop on Washington Avenue.

  24. I stumbled across an old picture from Ken Beberman an artist who did the murals of Club Ovo (several episodes), Paris Moderne (Borrasca) and others in the 80s and early 90s. Here is how the Club Ovo looked like in Walk alone and also later in 1987 just after Walk alone filmed there. That picture is from a design magazine in Miami in Dec 1987. https://beberman.com/bio

  25. CAROLINE´S/BILLY´S APARTMENT I am convinced that this location is/was a collection of look-alike houses in a row (but with space in between each of them) like this in the NE grid, somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle between the studio, the location of the parking lot scene with Billy near FIU and the silo location at NE 161 Street. Also, the church could have been located there somewhere. Here is a close match with a similarly looking access street at NE135 Street.

  34. FYI: a collector who owns the actual screen-worn Versace jacket Crockett is wearing in that scene visited my home once with his entire collection. It was a great time! He donated generously the costumes you see me wearing in my videos.

  35. UNKNOWN CRIME SCENE AT DEAD END STREET I checked all dead end streets near the FBI location and between there and the studio. No find. Only one came close at NE 151 Street. But I found new clues: the stop sign is much more distant than the dead-end sign (which usually stands exactly at the start of the dead-end street). Thus I conclude the streets coming from the left (dead end sign) and the right (stop sign) are shifted 20-30m from each other which is unusual and would exclude many dead end street intersections in Dade county. Also I found a high structure (mast or building? encircled in pic below) in the background that could be positioned left of the street running towards the camera. Earlier I was not 100% sure if there is a street straight ahead after the stop sign or not which would add further clarity how the intersection pattern as a whole looks like. Anyway, 90% that this location is near other locations as it is insignificant. And, as Tubbs and Russell are the only other actors appearing, this might be close to the other unknown crime scene (Miami Beach 5 story building with elevator, Miami Beach due to the pink ped walk on the other side) Has someone the BluRay version to check on that mast or building in the background? My pics have to much artifacts in it when increase lightning.

  36. NEW LOCATION FOUND: THE BAR UPDATE: I posted this unknown location half an hour ago, but since then I´ve already found it. @miamijimfsorry you already clicked on it before it jumped on me. My location sleuthing mind worked fast when thinking about the fact that it is in a basement. We have seen this bar already in two other episodes! God´s work. Bar where Gina talked to Felipe. They spent thousands of dollars on expensive aquarium fish flown in too late due to the Pope´s visit in Miami. Baby Blues. The dinner between Vasquez and Famiglia. It is the bar in the basement of the Waldorf Towers Hotel at 860 Ocean Drive. Proof is below when matching both episodes. ENJOY!

  42. This is such a powerful episode. Even in Season 4 there is still greatness, surrounded by some crap mind you. Great to see Belinda back as "Caroline". The part that gets me is Rico and Sonny in the Caddy when Rico says he loves him. Sonny puts up his hand and they give eachother a little high-five. Emotional scene for sure. And of course, Sonny bearing his soul to Castillo. Probably one of the most powerful moments of the series. After suffering "The Big Thaw" this was a much-needed episode!!

  44. NBC did zero promotion for the unaired episodes after "Freefall", they just aired them and that was it, sort of like an after thought. USA did promote "Too Much, Too Late" as a "lost" episode...
