  1. Given the amount of fan fiction posted, I thought I’d try to help readers find what they might wish to read by breaking down my fiction. Others may add to this if they wish, of course. My fiction breaks down into three distinct periods: Prequel, Series Timeline, and Post-Series (also called Task Force). The Task Force novels (yes, they’re novel-length) center on the OCB characters with some additions of my own and chart one possible path for the team in the changing world after the series. They’re posted here as multi-part stories (so read them in order unless you want to be confused…the links go to Part I in every case). I also include page counts for those who are interested in such things. It also gives you an idea of how long the novels are...something that's hard to gauge based on rough part divisions. For the short stories that occupy the other periods, I’ll break them down by when the story takes place (including which season and in some cases which episodes it falls between for those in the Timeline), where it’s set, and who the main character is. It’s all listed in chronological order based on when the story’s set, even though they weren’t written in that order. Observant folks might notice one short piece isn’t included here. I never really framed when Exploration took place, except that it would have been sometime late in Season 3 or early in Season 4. It’s not included because it’s more of an experiment than part of the main line of my fiction. But it does show one possible direction for Sonny…even if it’s not a good one. So you’ve been warned. Prequel Junior Year Overseas UofF Sonny Crockett Yesterday is Tomorrow Vietnam Castillo/Dave/Randy (last two are Task Force characters) Snakes in the Mist Vietnam Castillo Cowboy Da Nang Sonny Crockett Wave Rider Laos Castillo The Last Stop Miami Hank Weldon Whispers Miami Sonny Rear View Miami Sonny/Lou Calm Before the Storm New York City Rico Series Timeline Partners Sonny/Rico/Lou Season 1 - after the pilot Bridges Rico Season 1 - between the pilot and Heart of Darkness All I Want for Christmas Stan Switek Season 2-ish Rotten to the Core Sonny Crockett Season 2 - after "All I Want for Christmas" King’s Pawn Stan Switek Season 2 – before Phil The Shill Street Talk Noogie Season 2 B-U-R-N-E-Double T Sonny Crockett Between Season 2 and Season 3 The Final Bell Larry Zito Season 3 - Down for the Count highlights from Larry's PoV Just a Favor Stan Switek Season 3 – right after Down for the Count Payback Castillo Season 3 - Post Down for the Count The Golden Touch Trudy Joplin Season 4 – after Missing Hours Homebodies Sonny Crockett Season 4 – before Deliver us from Evil Vengeance is Mine Sonny Crockett Season 4 – before Mirror Image White Lies Sonny Burnett Between Season 4 and 5 - right after Mirror Image Flying Solo Rico Between Season 4 and 5 Power Play Sonny Burnett Between Season 4 and 5 Post-Series/Task Force The More Things Change... (373 paperback pages) Post Task Force Half Life Sonny Post everything else Special Genesis (451 paperback pages) SEARCH TIP: If you're looking for all the parts of these (or any other) stories, try this handy tip: If you're reading a story and want to find the rest, try searching the forum using the story title. Both MJ and I were pretty consistent when naming our threads, so that should bring up each part when you search. When you click in the search box, just check "this forum" (if you're in the Fan Fiction forum already...if not leave it alone), then "content titles only" (the last box in the search dropdown). That's the most precise way to do it. I just modified the novel links to bring up the search results based on the novel title. So if you click on Genesis, it will bring up all the parts of Genesis. If you change the sort to "by date" you'll get them in order.

  4. @RedDragon86, I like anything Bauhaus/Peter Murphy/Love & Rockets related! I think this song could have worked in “Death and the Lady”... A dark song. It has lyrics about film and special effects. It’s hard to tell what the song is really about. “Lookalikes fall on the cutting room floor”. Sounds kind of like a lookalike got killed... It’s spooky how well this song would fit that episode!

  9. Just my 2 cents. In the episode the unique block is at least 4 courses high, the building above, only 3 courses high. Plus in the photo above noted as Veranda C&T&Tucker, there is only block on one side, in the episode it’s on 2. The Veranda is not part of the balcony and the balcony appears to be poured in place concrete, the pattern doesn’t match. Plus a door to the noted condo is in the Veranda, and that would probably make that the room behind the slider to the balcony an entry to a living room. And there is a small threshold 3-4 inches high to keep the rain out, in the episode it appears not to have a raised threshold. The kitchen’s in these condos are real small and only a single door, no sliders so no way C&T&Tucker could fit thru it. This unit appears to be the mirror image of the unit noted above. https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/260-Ocean-Dr-Apt-1_Miami-Beach_FL_33139_M69487-61572#photo5

  10. For me, this is just a question of "reasonable" and equally applied criteria to be sure enough after such a long time and substantial demolishment or remodeling of locations. We all know that art deco railings exist only once. If that is not enough evidence for at least the exterior filming, than we can stop looking out for new location finds after 36 years at all, as there will be no better proof available under realistic circumstances as more evidence vanishes rather than pops up new. On the other hand, there was a "most likely filmed at 2515 Flamingo Drive" at Jimmy de Palma´s house without any evidence at all (remark: that´s why I added newly available interior pics there a few days ago to fix that). And we added the Ramrod Motel although we never had a conclusive front picture as proof. So, I just say we don´t need to be more Christian than the Pope when it comes to unique railing matches. P.S. CGlide is currently short with updates on newly found locations with 27 episodes and 40 locations respectively (just finds of the last 4 months). So, he has a lot do anyway and does not need to be selective

  11. It was inevitable that these two great sleuths would disagree about some location. I see it as a good thing as it helps to get us closer to the right spot. It's amazing what they have done.

  15. If other authors want to add their stuff, I'd suggest replying to this thread so it's all in one place and kinda organized. And maybe a mod would consider pinning it to the top so it doesn't get lost...

  16. The outdoor filming was certainly done there - most probably in this left "cage" surrounded by the unique railings (with the upper part replaced by grilles). The still shows that when C&T drag Tucker out of the room there is a real modern kitchen with a black/white floor behind them that does not look bad. No way to match it exactly with the episode interiors as the kitchen is not visible in the drug den scenes, BUT: the color in the kitchen wall above (lavender) matches the color in the drug den on the upper left when C&T drag Tucker away to the other room! It looks like a very modern apartment that looks a bit odd in this overall rundown place as lower Ocean Drive certainly was in general in 1984. I don´t see the unique railings elsewhere on the inside of that building, but it certainly could have been removed since then. We all know that such Art deco railings are unique and are never used twice. The apartment number where they filmed had a "11 V" on the door whatever the "V" means (veranda? but why have it on the door number?). It is at a corner as the two windows seen indicate (if they are real windows). The layout fits too. C&T drag Tucker out to the left in another room (kitchen?). Shape and size of windows would approximately fit with that building we see outside. The second window on the frontal corner apartment, adjacent to the railings, would have been the kitchen then we see. So far, so good with continuity and layout. Behind Crockett&Tubbs we see trash cans, thus this could have been indeed the veranda next to the garbage cans of the whole complex. The only detail that does not fit: the apartment entrance is vis as vis the front side (street side) window as we see in the episode without editing That does not match here as the apartment entrances are all from inside the inner yard that would mean entering the apartment from the right side (seen from inside). This is only explainable if they used another corner apartment on the other side of the yard for interior filming. There are several interior apartment pics on the net, but not from apartment 11. Apartment 12 is close, but also shows no clear matches 36 years after and looks very ordinary. https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/260-Ocean-Dr-Apt-12_Miami-Beach_FL_33139_M67298-09086#photo10 Slight chance that the interior was filmed elsewhere as indicated above with the location of the entrance door. But overall clues indicate to 99% that´s it. Congrats again to @daytona365 for spotting it out! P.S. Trivia: I came across this building when I searched for Knox´ apartment in "Death and the lady" but ruled it out quickly.

  17. My wife and I watched the first two episodes because of it being recommended by my step-daughter. After watching two I could not waste my viewing time any more. Both sides of the story are nuts and deserve to be in prison. Total trash.

  18. While a lot of people like “Biko” by Peter Gabriel at the end of “Evan”, I think this Human League song would also be a great fit! It’s about the JFK assassination but seems very fitting for Evan’s fate. This song has such an emotional power to it as well! If you look at the YouTube comments, I commented a couple years ago saying I’d trade every song made after 1992 to keep this one song. I still stand by that comment!
