  1. It's good to finally meet some fellow Vice fans! Ive been watching since last year, and I was curious if I could find anybody else who loves this show as much as I do... and I did!

  2. Currently going through the 70s crime drama Starsky and Hutch. There’s some definite tie-ins between it and MV…as Michael Mann wrote several episodes of S&H, Paul Michael Glaser & David Soul later directed episodes of MV, and the like-brothers type friendship between each show’s main stars has been compared before. Tonight I’m watching a S&H episode from Season 2 called “The Psychic” (1977). It happens to guest star Edward James Olmos…not, only that but Michael Mann wrote this episode! However, ‘Castillo’ doesn’t fare as well in this one…as he pulls a ‘Lou R.’ and ends up on the wrong end of a firearm. Interesting & good episode, though! (Sidenote: Edward James Olmos was incorrectly credited in this episode as Edward Jamesl Olmos?? Someone needed to work on their typing skills. )

  5. There were only 100-something actual Daytona Spyders (hand-)produced (Crockett's "$150k" from '86 is in the hefty seven figures now). Even assuming Ferrari still had a couple, too valuable to get banged up in a TV show. If this wasn't the Magnum car it would have looked much nicer on MV than the Testarossa. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_308_GTB/GTS

  6. And it would have been much cooler and more Miami-appropriate if Ferrari had given them another spyder model instead of the Testarossa, but I guess people getting threatened with lawsuits can't be choosy.

  10. I remember that one, and not just for Olmos and Mann. I’m a credit watcher myself, but missed the spelling error. I also remember it was filmed at the Pike in Long Beach, where I live. So many 70’s shows filmed there like Cannon, Barnaby Jones, Columbo, Emergency, and Mannix. Starsky and Hutch filmed a lot in neighboring San Pedro too. This was a really good episode and Huggy Bear was great.

  13. I could picture It's a Mistake by Men At Work, there's something about the album cover and the lyrics that remind me of South America and drug trafficking

  14. Haven't look at this thread for about 6 month or so, and a bunch of great hits has been posted ! Thanks, 90% of them were new to me. Since Animotion is not available on the link which @RedDragon86 presented earlier, I paste here an other link to it. Anyway this song was featured in GTA Vice City soundtrack, so I guess Rockstar also felt the VICE VIBE in it

  17. Very cool collection. I have a pair I bought used for $40 from someone on poshmark. It looks exactly like the pair on the bottom left. I never wear them though cuz they're a little too big on me and are CONSTANTLY falling off my face, lol. Heck, this has inspired me to buy another pair I've been watching for months now. They look like the pair that are 2nd from the bottom on the right.
