So, after years of trying to find the exact style of Sonny's espadrilles and not finding them, I found someone to custom make them. This is what they are shipping me. There aren't many cobblers in the U.S. so I went abroad. This particular cobbler is in India. They charged around 80 bucks per pair and they are leather. My sister turned me on to these folks.4 points

My favorite cop actors are in this movie in a scene together. DJ plays the captain. Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter) has a small part. Highly controversial movie (for some PC movie critics) for violence and depiction of police brutality....but YMMV. My only gripe with this flick, it's a tad too long for the rather straightforward plot. A slow burner for sure, but not in the same league with genre masterpieces, such as 'Heat'.3 points

Love your collection. I myself also own a 5024 also in black and in tortouise colors BUT I have realised my nose is so wide I should wear something like a 54-28 My face is also wider than DJs slim/thin face so I guess will settle with a Carrera 5512 and will continue hunt down Persol 69218 which has 58mm wide lenses so that is much more suitable for those with wider face.2 points

Funny story. A friend of my wife who builds a LOT with Legos, got a set that she wasn’t interested in so asked my wife if I might like it. I had built a lot with my two kids when they were younger as they had gotten many sets. It’s been a few years since then but I said sure. The set she just brought me was this car, a white Lamborghini Countach, with the wing and everything. Even the unique wheels are replicated. I didn’t realize Lego had licensed these kinds of sets. I haven’t built it yet, but I’ll post a picture for fun when I do! Maybe I’ll dig out my kids’ old Legos too and make some modifications.2 points

Good evening everyone, I'm desperately searching for the brand of this t-shirt, and it's to you that I turn. ChatGPT, Gemini, and others have been unable to provide me with a reliable answer, so it's only natural that I reach out to you. Where can I buy this t-shirt if it's still available ? What brand is it ? Which website offers it ? I am looking for this one, with the same neckline and lightweight texture, identical to this one. Thank you a thousand times for your reply.1 point

As Dukes of Hazzard fan I have been looking for the Enos series spin off: Sadly no full episodes for online streaming. I found a couple via BitTorrent including the pilot. The first scene is actually the ending of the dukes episode 'Enos to the top', where he says goodbye to Daisy at the airport. You can see the general Lee as well. So I watched the pilot and it's very funny, as long you are a true fan of Deputy Enos and his idiosyncrasies. And of course his driving style did not stay back in Hazzard County, to his new colleagues dismay Feels quite cheap filming and production wise, obviously on a much smaller budget than the parent show. I just wish i could find the episodes featuring uncle Jessie, Rosco and Daisy as guest stars.1 point

I have the Persols (and a wide face). They are not quite wide enough for me but I wear them anyway.1 point

Paisley & Gray sells one very similar but they run a little small. If anyone is looking for a similar jacket. I never found the Howe version so I went with the P&G for around 80 dollars. I had th have the lining removed for it to fit properly even though it was " my size."1 point

It really is about attitude and confidence when doing the DJ look. I'm African American so I don't look a thing like Crockett, but my personality is more like Crockett's than that of Tubbs. Not only that, Crockett's style is more relaxed and more comfortable to wear than that of Tubbs. DJ's look fits my personality more so that's the look I've rolled with for a while.1 point

The 2nd pair are supposed to be similar to the pair Sonny wore in episode 1 in the opening. They haven't finished those yet. I just grabbed some quick drying plaster of Paris and made casts of each foot. They wanted a paper outline (drawing) of both feet but I sent them casts instead, along with every photo of the actual shoes that I could find. I haven't seen the 2nd pair yet.1 point

Back then television was still considered more “sacred”, as families & kids could be watching. So, most cuss words were not allowed, hardly any sex scenes were allowed (only inferred), no nudity, and hardly any blood or gory violence. Sometimes I miss those days. Boss at first had a lot more hostility & disgust for Lulu…but as the show progressed they decided to make them more comical & they actually did care about the other. Rosco, Enos, and eventually Cletus drove a couple 1975 and/or 76 Plymouths at first, along with a couple AMC Matador Sedans. But, even by Season 2 the main cop cars used throughout the show were 1977-1978 Dodge Monacos & Plymouth Furys. The way you (or the main way I) can tell the difference between the two is the front grill. The 77 Dodge Monaco has a split grill—and/or it looks like it’s two pieces, whereas the 77 Plymouth Fury has one long grill…one long piece. Otherwise, they’re basically “mirrors” of each other. A lot of the characters & townsfolk on the show were seriously over exaggerated…mainly Rosco, Enos, Cletus, and Boss. But, that’s what part of the show’s charm was. It was this one-of-kind place that you wished could be real. In all honesty, I don’t think any of the “Dukes” characters (besides Bo, Luke & Daisy) could carry their own spinoff show. Sonny Shroyer tried that with his own spinoff series called Enos, and it barely lasted a season. All the characters together, worked on “Dukes”…but separately on their own, it just doesn’t work or have the same effect. But, that’s what makes “Dukes” so awesome…it took all the characters to really bring the show together.1 point
