When it comes to fashion, I wonder if PMT had any influence on his clothing style or if it was all in control by the Costume Designers... Thought I would add this bit here, excerpt from an article, I found some months back. "As for Miami Beach women, they may have had bigger hair in the 1980s, but sundresses and sunglasses were a natural fit then and still are, said Rose DeMerle, 70, who said she played an extra on several episodes of the show.
