Miami Beau
Hey pals, yet more sad news to report, actor Tony Sirico who played mob boss Frank Romano in season 5’s “Fruit Of The Poison Tree”, has died at 79. He was great as Romano, I just wish we had gotten more scenes with him involved. Also he’s great in The Sopranos. RIP. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-62103340.amp 1

Tom
30+ years after the pace of losing guest stars and other series contributors has become shockingly high. I did not know that Tony Sirico was in his mid 40s when he played Frank Romano as he appeared older back then. What a great Mafia style villain he was in 1988! RIP.
sdiegolo78
R.I.P Tony Sirico aka Paulie Walnuts Gaultieri and Frank Romano...IMHO his MV character had some potential. PS: yesterday I learnt about James Caan passing away....every day is bad news Edited July 9, 2022 by sdiegolo78
RedDragon86
RIP to a legend Obviously James Gandolfini was the main star in "The Sopranos" but I think Tony stole the show. He was a great, understated actor, naturally gifted. If anybody hasn't seen the episode "Pine Barrens" in the Sopranos I recommend it highly, Tony is hilarious in it.
Administrators James Posted July 12, 2022 Administrators Report Share Posted July 12, 2022 RIP legend. Tony Sirico went from being a real gangster to seeing ex-convicts put on a show while he was in prison and "caught the bug" and got into acting when he was released and played gangster in the movies and TV shows. Of course we all love him in Miami Vice, The Sopranos, but he was also a background character in movies like GoodFellas and was also in Casino. He was an all 'round good fella, everyone he worked with loved him. He will be missed by many.
