miamijimf
Good job guys, this is reused stock footage from the 1100 block of Western Ave in LA. You see it in the Glades teaser, in Bushido as a CIA front, and in Sonny's Drive in Love at First Sight. Correct. Never liked this scene. Who would hire Izzy for a strip show?

airtommy
I was watching a bit of The Specialist and I noticed there is a lot of prominent neon in the movie. Do you know if Mr. Neon made the neon signs for that movie?

The Clevelander has some nice neon but they may have had their own decorator, I don't see any of Mr. Neon's signature designs here or anywhere else. I will say the smoking lady neon at the beginning displays a lot of imagination which is typical of Mr. Neon. He is not mentioned in the credits, but usually only the movies art director is mentioned.

I was thinking at first that the Clevelander neon signs could be their own, but then when Sharon Stone is dropped off at her place there's a sign "Canal Inn" or something like that. That sign was certainly made for the movie. Edited March 24, 2017 by airtommy

If it was his, he'll remember. I wouldn't just ask him about the movie. He's a nice guy and multi-talented but don't know about his memory, understandable since he's done lots of movies and TV shows. If you remember we asked him where he did the neon for Vice's Ramrod Hotel in Streetwise and he was positive the building was on Palm Ave in Hialeah.
