Administrators Ferrariman Posted October 2, 2010 Administrators Report Share Posted October 2, 2010 This guy has written probably more TV shows than anyone else in the industry! http://www.optimum.net/News/AP/Article?fmId=31574648Stephen J. COOPER&BURNETT
Holy crap! That is sad. I liked his stuff. He absolutely will be missed.RIP STEPHEN.
Spyder
That is a shame. Apart from Vice, some of the best shows from the 1980s were created or produced by Stephen Cannell.I always liked the character of Lt. Dixon he played in the 1990s series Renegade. Its interesting about mid-season when Dennis Farina guest starred, they started using more rock music and Vice inspired clothing.
Administrators Ferrariman Posted October 2, 2010 Author Administrators Report Share Posted October 2, 2010 He most recently appeared as himself on "Castle". Castle, being a writer, often played poker with a bunch of writer friends, Cannell being one of them.

redrush43
I always remember this thing at the end of the A-team TV show. I had no clue he was a very major player in the TV show game?!?!I guess I was a little too young at the time. Tony.

Wow, I thought he was older than that since he's been around writing shows since I was a kid.The complete series of Renegade and The Commish are both out soon (maybe this week). As someone mentioned up-thread, Stephen J. Cannell played the role of Lt. Dixon in that series.
