Tom
Somewhat strange episode, but some good locations:1. Teaser (Mall): Mayfair Hotel, 3000 Florida Ave, Coconut Grove, see picture. I suspect that the shops in teaser were in Mayfair Mall in the Grove in the same complex (mall has been mostly abandoned since then) and they cut the Hotel Garden and the mall scenes together as this was one mall.2. Escondero´s House, final scenes: El Jardin House, 3747 Main Highway, Coconut Grove3. Crockett meets Jack, they get nearly shot and then Crockett has a tough talk with his cousin in the alley; a bar scene when Jack comes up with another stupid idea; most likely the scenes with Grubbs and Jack at the restaurant were also shot there:Fairmon Gardens, 1000 Collins Ave and Essex House Hotel 1001 Collins Ave, Miami Beach4. Jack´s house: Villa Ipa, 3715 Main Highway, Coconut Grove. The same house as in "Rising sun of death". No wonder Escondero found Jack that fast, he was his neighbour! The distinctive wall when Jack is put into the trunk by Escondero´s goons gave it away.
airtommy
Jack´s house: Villa Ipa, 3715 Main Highway, Coconut Grove. The same house as in "Rising sun of death". Where did you get this address? I don't think it is right. The building on the corner of Anchorage Way & Main Hwy is the Chabad, which has an address of 3713 Main Hwy. The Miami Vice house is the next one down Anchorage Way, so it must have an Anchorage Way address. Unfortunately, Google Street View has horrible resolution on this street. It's also the only gated community in Miami that denied me access to drive around and look.

Matt5
I enjoyed this episode and had some great locations. There was a bar where Crockett met his cousin Jack ( the "turkey - figures " funny scene) - looks like the Boa tower in the background in one frame !? airtommy
Sorry that was a typo. It is 3747 Main Highway of course. 3747 Main Hwy is El Jardin, now the Carrollton School, and that was Escondero's house. Jack's house seems like it must have an Anchorage Way address. Tom
The address of Jack's house aka Villa Ipa I have from the production report of Rising sun of death. Thus it's gotta be genuine.Maybe they changed or merged property slots in this area.

C Glide
working on this ep. now. I am looking for the location of Mike's world of waves. This store can be found. The street lights seen outside are very unique. Across the street is a business named Farr T.... and a hotel that has a name that one of the words ends GM, perhaps even MGM. I know there are a lot of hotels in the Miami area but it is a clue. Checked expedia but found nothing. Anyone want to take a look. The scene is in act 1 and there are a lot of clues like the structure and appearance of the building across the street.
Tom
This ep was mostly shot in South Beach and the Coconut Grove area (e.g. Mayfair area in teaser, Escondero house). Thus, location hunting should consider clustered locations at first. Also consider this ep was shot simultaneously with The Cell within and two crews, which reduced their possibilities to travel around a lot. The cell within locations which are all known are very close to those of Jack of all trades.

I studied the buildings across the street, but I got nowhere with that. Then I studied the details of the building that they are inside of and I noticed the walls are all window top to bottom and the roofline is slanted. Bingo! It's the old Banana Bungalow. Just above Crockett's gun: Also known as Ankara Motel and The Creek South Beach: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Creek_South_Beach But there was yet another name for this hotel: The Waterside Inn. I had always wondered what this blurry sign said in "The Specialist" and now I finally know! This led to another eureka moment: When Jack & Sonny go to a bar, there is a sign that reads "---side Inn Bar". This must be at the Waterside Inn as well. miamijimf
I've said it before but I think you guys could easily get jobs with "the company" to analyze satellite images and aerial photos. airtommy
Thank you, I'm blushing! Bear in mind I didn't find this in one day. I hunted for Mike's World of Waves last summer, gave up for a while, finally found it in December. I was saving it for a trivia question, but a visit to Miami just doesn't seem imminent. Also, I almost stayed at this hotel one time, so I was familiar with the cool-looking building. I figured out the bar scene when this forum was recently offline for a week. I was going through severe withdrawal, so I watched some of "The Specialist" and that's when it came to me. Tom
Great job as always! Thanks! I also tried unsuccessfully to locate Soliz' house. Maybe airtommy can give it a try as well!
C Glide
There are significant clues, I spent about an hour on it but then decided to come back to it at a later time. My gut says Pinecrest, maybe because all the trees around a big yard. Hopefully it still exist as it was a pricey, modern looking home. The mailbox only says mail no number. Here is the pool at Soliz' house for anybody that wants to hunt on satellite: The walkway on the second floor where they meet and the three large smoke stacks behind them should be easily seen from above. Maybe even better than the pool. I would not limit my search by this but I suspect the pool is on the south side of the house which I suspect is on an east west running street. I bet you and others may have been surprised by the location of the last scene but a little mind blow from time to time is a good thing.
Matt5
Some amazing finds - in particular the Pelican Harbor Park location at 79th Street and the Continental Hotel at 2360 Collins . First time they had shot at The Continental / Waterside Inn 2360 Collins Avenue ( interior wise ) so very cool indeed - looks as if that structure has been saved today also - so should be a cool location to visit!!

Matt5
The elusive Anchorage Way in Coconut Grove is seen in this episode a gated community that I couldnt get into in 2014 . Villa Ipa is quite private and next door to El Jardin House Edited April 2, 2016 by Matt5
