Kavinsky
Have you seen the movie yet Tony D? I kinda want Tubbs caddy now!its a deville alright' date=' and in the same sea foam green one of them was in:[img']http://www.imcdb.org/i502756.jpgprobably the same color as the one used in freefall at 2:18:http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=66Vkxy-s7Hwalthough there was about 3 deviles from the look of it and I'm kind of wondering if Michale Mann had been using them for crime story hence why there seemed to be three of them that came and went, 2 in blue silver, 1 in the MIB color that seemed to be used the most in S5 although poped up occasionally in S1 and S2
COOPER&BURNETT
I kinda want one. I wonder what they go for these days?
Kavinsky
I kinda want one. I wonder what they go for these days?there not too expensive actually' date=' I have seen ones marked for a couple of grand, usually between 6 - 20 like this one[url']http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1963-Cadillac-Coupe-DeVille-2-Door-Hardtop-Hard-Top-/300720425482?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4604558a0aalthough like anything else its often far wiser to go with the one in the best condition you can find even if its the more expensive of the two as usually it saves you money in the long run.plus look for bondo, rust and chasis damage and make sure you find one in a good climate, arizona despite being hard on interiors usually superbly preserves the mechanicals like you wouldnt believe.and take a test drive, warm up the internals, make sure it doesnt smoke or burn oil and dont do impulse buys on looks alone, check EVERYTHING, under the hood, while driving, anything you can think of and bargain accordingly.and also they can be worked on by hand if you know what your doing, have the facilities and tools and have a shop manual around, hell the vette boys seem to always preach that at the vette forums, the technical stuff I've come across there is incredibile.and from what I understand year 1 and a few companies make parts for them still, the caddies I mean, not just the vettes. COOPER&BURNETT
I assume a convertible would bring a premium.
Kavinsky
I assume a convertible would bring a premium. not sure' date=' I think they may be evenly matched as I think they sold a fair number of both coupes and convertibiles. although while double checking it says 1963 was the last year they sold a convertibile version of that car so it may very well be [url']http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadillac_Series_62 although I think its a devile although I seem to get them mixed up, theres some small visual cue thats supposed to tell them appart but I never seem to be able to pick up on it as the caddilac guys called the devile, tubbs' car when I asked about it a slab side.basically I'm not sure but I really dont remember coming across a 63 convertibile with a huge price tag.
