And sort of when Sonny's disillusionment starts to really affect him. That was the underlying theme throughout and I wonder if it was the rough idea that the series would end as it did. 1 Quote Link to comment

This, along with the gas station talk in "Evan" are some of the most moving scenes from the first season. 2 Quote Link to comment
RedDragon86 5,973 Posted July 7, 2022 (edited) Report Share When Sonny say "get on the damn plane" you can feel the pain in his heart. I think this was a very important scene for Tubbs, because he is connecting to Sonny on a very emotional level. Like in a nutshell he is understanding what kind of person Sonny is, a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve and cares about people. Edited July 7, 2022 by RedDragon86 1 Quote Link to comment
jpaul1 1,664 Posted July 7, 2022 Report Share what i saw into that scene it's that if cops have a 'thick skin' (they have to with such job), sometimes things are so shocking that they still can get hit even through their thick armor. I also felt this in the adopted babies episode, when sonny opens the plane carrying the babies door, then suddenly gets like violently hit by something when he hears all the babies cries Quote Link to comment
