1939 to 2014, age 74, today midday Cause unknown at present, likely the same thing that did in the late Johnathan Thaw, as he was a recovered alcoholic, probably throat cancer.

and in general it sounded and looked like he was in pretty rough shape.

although the most ironic thing being what I was watching at the moment of learning this:

R.I.P "Beisser", as he's called in the german James Bond movies.

Liked him in "The Spy who loved me" and "Moonraker"

Heartbreaking, one of the Bond series most iconic henchman and from what I heard a good guy in real life. Besides Bond he also was in one of my favorite scenes in Cannonball Run II.

Just, damn, he was a big part of mine and a lot of people's childhoods  ... R.I.P.

oh yeah I remember that one in the cannonball run, jesus, that was how many years ago now, and that was also Jackies first big attempt to break into the US market, the second being the Bronx one, and then I think Mr Nice guy which I remember going to see in theaters.

A great film baddie that truly left a big impact when it came to the "typical" henchman and I

would have enjoyed seeing the character being brought back in a new Bond film.
