Is that one Arroyo’s pool guests when Gina announces Odette’s suicide?

I’ve always loosely translated that to, “is she telling the truth?”

How about another one, while we're at it...  :p from another episode:

"Se acabó. ¡Váyanse!"

(loosely translated:  "This is over. Leave!")

Correct... in the hut in the Colombian jungle, better known as rural New York State :)

I looked at it on the map the other day... they really didn't wander far from NYC for  those scenes...

Even while the show was still one of the hottest  things on television, they were keeping an eye on production cost... :p

It kind of takes away some of the fun of watching the scene when you realize that they are passing off a boreal pine and maple forest as a tropical South American jungle... that's a bit like shooting an episode of Fargo in the Florida Keys... :D

At least the show stayed in Miami. During the later seasons they wanted to move production to L.A.  Thankfully those in charge refused!

They used to do that with N.Y.P.D. Blue.  They would shoot a lot of exterior shots in New York several times a season but the main show was shot in California.

any word lately on where the new Miami Vice series will be filmed?

I vaguely remember reading that the State of Florida pretty much cut back its film industry tax rebates to almost nothing... that does not bode well...

Last I heard Miami-Dade County was trying to make funds available to provide incentives for studios to film in Miami.  Hopefully it won't be like CSI Miami or Dexter that do little filming in town at the start then just show Miami scenes as establishing shots while filming somewhere else.  I hope the new Vice will be a good show but I have a feeling that even if it is good most of us will still be disappointed.  As they say, "There's nothing like the real thing."

Yes I agree - CSI Miami felt so fabricated in its use of Miami. I noticed the LA locations a lot!

QUOTE:  "I can dig tropical, but this is out of bounds"

Character and Episode Please!

This quote was inspired by the 46 degree Celsius temps we are experiencing in Toronto this weekend. That translates to 113 farenheit folks!
