(Replaces the California, which is what I would have gone with if the Portofino wasn’t out.) Black with tan interior. Daytona Seats. Silver wheels. Chrome accents on the grill. HA! You posted your pic while I typing! The California T had a Daytona option where you could get the black accent stripes on the tan seats. The Portofino offers seats, but all one color. jpaul1 Posted May 17, 2019 Author Report Share Posted May 17, 2019 (edited) i think if you take a car that look too much to the 2 original cars it won't do it. we are talking of a reboot that occurs 40 years after the original. i do hope the guy 40 years later, i mean Crockett would have changed his car 40 years later. this is my 2c. but personnally something similar to the Daytona, or the Testarossa would get me bored. in my mind a reboot of MV can't still be in/the 80s, it has to be something contemporary. if it's not that way, it's totally unrealistic. thus looses all its weight/credibility. so all this to say i don't find a black cabriolet a good idea. plus i find the portofino shapes too angular for a city like Miami. Miami is not a knife, Miami is rounded all around, full of generosity. but again this is my 2c so, i made a small search and i found few models. some nice, some totally unrealistic. i mean on a TV series managment level the first i found, and i think it's the one that suits best. it's the 90s 850i. a gorgeous German car, but with discreet lines, that could fit in an ecological concerns era the second has for me some of the greatest lines ever made. the 300SL. there's a problem though. it's not the kind of car you drive on a daily basis another interesting choice it's the BMW Nazca. the problem it's that it's a concept made in only 3 units. so we can forget about it and last, the 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB. but there are two problems. it reminds too much of the Daytona in the shapes IMO, and it's a rare car. which means the use of replicas for shooting. i don't know how Ferrari will consider this Edited May 17, 2019 by jpm1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Only 122 Ferrari Daytona Spider's were made and they were about 15 years old when the show 1st aired. So based on that the Ferrari 575 SuperAmerica fits that bill.
