Wrestling fans will remember that his territory coming out of the Carolinas would become the most powerful promotion in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) in the 80s with the likes of Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, the Four Horsemen, Rock n Roll Express, Magnun TA etc. and would be the WWF's chief rival during that time.
