S.FL84 Posted August 13, 2021 Report Share Posted August 13, 2021 The following is IMO and completely open to criticism & debate: I think the single biggest appeal of MV in 1984 was the undeniable fact it was peek into a world previously never shown to a television audience & I mention this only because of just how horribly bad TV is today due to the huge # of so-called 'entertainment outlets' & how bad in comparison to MV they ALL are. It makes me think of Bruce Springsteen's song '57 Channels & Nothing On' > This is significant considering this song was freakin' 1992 and instead of using today's amazing technology to make things better its only gotten worse. I think an updated version of Springsteen's song in today's world would be '357 Channels & Nothing On'. They say you can't live in the past...but it sure as hell would be very nice to visit it for the rest of my life. .
