Time & time again I hear that they're one of those 'rare bands today' because of the level of sophistication in lyrics & virtuosity in their music making.OK - but now we will have high expectations for the show. We know who to complain to if they don't live up to the high praise. I'll bet that we'll be happy at the end of the show, and they will be worthy of the praise. Here's some more hype for you all:- The song that introduced me to The Fixx:Stand or Fall , a really good one-One of their newer ones, I (very luckily) chanced upon the album overseas five years ago, I didn't know they were still going: -Another one of my favorites: -I saw this live, even though the sound quality isn't great, you can hear how fantastic the synth is and it really filled the place. -The very well-known I can only say I'm giving some consideration to coming down, but glad to hear so many southern law enforcement fans might go. I'm about at 40 yes/60 no. I'll know by about July 1st. It's kind of going to be one of those now or never decisions. Bessie's gotta make it down there, school's gotta be in order, friends down that way I haven't seen in a few years, it's a big decision. In my teens/20s, a road-trip was like, "Yeah, give me 5 minutes, we can buy socks and skivvies on the way down." Today, much harder. Kind of would like to go south in spring or fall when it's cooler up here and warmer down there. With or without me, I'm happy that some people will consider think about checking out the best band ever (I'm not going to make them have to fist-fight Duran Duran for that title but it can be argued).
