Stinger390X
Although I am a Rourke fan and loved the Wrestler... after reading some of the scathing remarks about the movie, I am not sure I want to see it? It isn't even released in our area yet, but almost 90% of the comments are negative???The movie must have really blown? ... or the critics just have no taste??? Scot from S.C.
I like Brett Easton Ellis, the author of the work on which the movie is based, but I have a feeling it is like my favorite work by him, American Psycho. The book is great, but the movie, even with Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman, is so watered down that it lacks any punch. And if you read the novel, you know it was very graphic and Hollywood once again messed a good book up beyond repair.Maybe this screen translation of another of his works is better, but the reviews are scathing. Will I see it? Yeah, I will check it out on DVD.
