14 inches??? jeeezSounds unusual for this time of year in Miami FL (from what I know meterologically and geographically, I don't live anywhere near there)It is an El Nino winter however which might have some explaining to do. Usually Florida see's more severe whether over winter during El Nino e.g 1998/2007 Orlando area tornado outbreaks and severe weather elsewhere. That all said El Nino usually means warmer and wetter winters in the UK, yet I'm looking out my window at 15cm of snow ... so I could be talking out of my ****.But there is a rough theory that El Nino = more severe weather in Florida winters
