Guest myonlyvice
The Miami Dolphins, the Florida Gators and the Alabama Crimson Tide are all mentioned in Vice, the Dolphins on many occasions. However there are other times where the show made up colleges and college teams that don't exist, like the "Sunblazers" from "The Fix" and that team from "Hard Knocks" whose name I forget. It seems unnecessary to do this in a city like Miami with so many real college teams and colleges. Never once were the Hurricanes even mentioned, or FIU. Why did they do it this way? Could a real school not play a prominent roll in an episode such as the two listed above? Is this a legal thing?

That was the nickname of the FIU teams until 1987, when it was changed to the Golden Panthers.
