"Acapulco H.E.A.T. is a short-lived 1993 syndicated television series which followed the Hemisphere Emergency Action Team, a group of "specialists" based in Acapulco, Mexico and recruited to fight a secret war on terrorists." (Source)Ah, the '90s. It's like somebody jumped on the empty toothpaste tube that was pre-syndication Baywatch and C&C Music factory and made this show. Almost any non-California based show with palm trees wishes it could tap into the Vice vibe as well. This show mostly existed around a swimming pool, but by watching the intro, you think all this cool stuff is going to happen. (But I'm pretty sure it didn't.)Something, however, must have worked, as a second season was ordered and 48 eps. were filmed.Cast: Sexy computer expert, sexy ex-secret agent, sexy cat burglar, sexy Mi6 operative, LOL.I always snicker when... erm, Fabio comes up at the end, signing contracts while striking a pose (over by the pool). I remember him driving around in his Hummer for a few seconds in a couple of eps as well. And the karate guy annoys me. And even though the theme is a little catchy, it just makes the pretentiousness finally overflow the sides.

More reason why I think MV could have lasted well into the 1990s. New shows were trying to replicate a vibe thought to have dried up on the real MV; instead, we got a bunch of inferior clones when the real thing could have done just as fine for another few years.

Oh man, what a big bucket of FAIL this show was.LOL!There were a few 90's cop shows that were similar Miami Vice...UPN's The Strip: tried to be MV set in Las Vegas.21 Jump Street: MV goes to High SchoolSilk Stalkings: Set in Florida, with male/female partners and cheaper budgetTropical Heat aka Sweating Bullets: Partners solving crime in fake Town similar to Key West.
