crocketsgrl
Honestly I don't think it was a nightmare though I haven't watched the episode in so long. I only loved James Brown singing I feel good and Trudy singing it. It was such a weird episode that I only watched it a few times. There is a corp. that is behind this and Jame Brown really thought he was doing the right things as I recall. But wasn't someone behind this whole thing to trap people and get money? Oh and poor Chris Rock his big part at the time of rising up was on this episode. But maybe it was written for anyone to take it as they want. But IMO it wasn't a dream. Now usually I'll watch an episode that is being questioned, maybe, but do I want to , no.......That and the Cows of Oct. and Leap of Faith are the worse episodes in Vice. But maybe.....I'll sit through the torture of missing hours for you, Shill , me mate.

Lar
It's really left up the viewer as to whether it's a dream or not. I take it as a dream. This is the only ep of MV I refuse to watch again. I'd give The Cows of October and Leap of Faith second views (though I tried with Cows recently, but it was pretty unbearable) before this one. As far as I'm concerned, MH is little more than a slap in the face to the series and it's fans.

nmathews
Well I have my ideas...I posted my views on what I thought Missing Hours was about on the Season 4 episodes review section of org. but I'm reposting it here: nmathews Vice Squad Detective Joined: 04 March 2003 Location: United States Online Status: Online Posts: 1596 Posted: 11 December 2007 at 4:24pm What I think the plot of Missing Hours was: . Bear with me for a moment, Stan and Trudy are on a stake out for the porno guy. Acres along with two other men following close behind him is behind the porno guy. Acres takes one look of the logo on Noogie’s space helmet and begins to get scared. His trigger must have been a space logo, like Trudy’s was I Feel Good. Now I assume that Acre’s had a shopping bag full of drugged peanut butter (although he didn’t know it was drugged) he had been dosed with this stuff on a continuing basis and freaked when he saw the logo on Noogie’s helmet. He threw his bag of jars, began having a heart attack he was so frightened and went diving toward Noogie and continued on through the glass door since Noogie and Izzy got out of the way. Every thing shattered and Trudy bent down to see if Acres was OK. Now the action froze there, but how many times have we seen Sonny, Rico, Trudy or anybody else on vice check the pulse at the neck to see if the person is still alive. In this case Trudy probably absorbed some of Acres bodily fluids including his blood, which was full of the drug. We saw that there was blood on her clothes and since Acres was continually dosed this infected Trudy. Remember the two guys in black suits were behind Acres and saw the whole thing. We know that they got a hold of Trudy somehow because after the body disappeared, the assistant Coroner said that Trudy with two attendants from Biscayne Mortuary picked up the body. I assume the two guys were the same guys following Acres. They somehow got everybody dosed enough with this drug that can be absorbed through the skin to not make any good records or think anything was unusual until later. It also must cause hallucinations maybe through suggestions. We know Trudy was absent from work and was not at home so I assume she was with these guys. Later on when Trudy is more or less back to herself she decides to check-out the houseboat because she ‘saw Acre’s artery popping’ and doesn’t believe in spontaneous healing. She goes to the houseboat and looks around. She picks up one of the open peanut butter jars, puts it down and then looks around. The coo-koo clock begins coo-kooing and Trudy begins hallucinating and laughing. She sees Lou Delong as the way she’s always thought of him, even though he’s obviously older now. Why lou was there, I don’t know but it was obvious that he was told to go to the houseboat (probably by Travis) so Trudy would see him. Maybe Lou didn’t remember because he was drugged I’m not sure about this. Anyway we know later it’s mentioned that Trudy’s blood from the medical workup had traces of elements which are found in hallucinogenic drugs although they could be explained away by a common cause. Now comes the government cover up part. Rico sets a trap for the two guys he’s convinced is behind this after Lou tells him about meeting his sponsors and giving him the Astro –life session tapes. Rico gets the two men to take him to their leader, which turns out to be some government blackops project location. He’s told that there’s an experiment going on about some military weapon which the government doesn’t want to see fall in the wrong hands and bargained way as part of a disarmament negotiation. They also go on to tell him they’ve used other sites such as Elcho Nevada. They also explain that they’re just a blip on the radar screen in Dade County compared to all the drugs and everything else that goes on there. They also say that Lou’s group has been helpful in getting feedback from the sightings and how to debunk them. He then warns Rico not to put anything in his report that he can’t prove. So all this mess is a government conspiracy to hide the fact that we’re developing a weapon while we’re talking disarmament. I don’t think Lou is really a part of this. He’s kind of a dupe or just a con man that wants to be duped. Travis is in on it. Carson knows something. I’m not sure he knows the particulars, but he does work for Travis. Now I’m not sure if they thought they had to get rid of Trudy or what but obviously she’s called by Carson to come to his computer bulletin board at Metro Dade police station. Then when Sonny and Rico find her She’s quite out of it, and well on her way to oblivion. Rico scoops her up and Trudy is still lucid enough to tell him she’s OK. Sonny grabs Carson, and comes face to face with Travis who says that the houseboat belongs to Astro-life now. Travis takes possession and Sonny gets everybody away. Travis waits until Sonny is out of harm’s way as he blows the houseboat, hence getting rid of the evidence of all the electronic equipment and whatever peanut butter and drug residue might be left. I don’t know if Travis was planning on blowing Carson, Trudy, and himself up, but I wouldn’t put it past him if he was fanatic enough about this project. As to the blackops project. It must have been some sort of flying machine and it acted like a giant electromagnet. Could this be the beginning of HAVOC (from fifth season) It also stopped motor vehicles and shut them down. Anyway just some thoughts about this confusing episode.

Christine
Which explanation can you give about the sign Gina found at the end of this weird episode in Trudys neck? First I thought everything could have been a dream, but after Gina found this sign I wasn´t sure.Christine
nmathews
Why did Trudy have weird cut in hairThe government coverup guys did that probably when they injected her with something else to mess with her memories and brain. This would also go with the alien abduction scam because lots of people beleived that aliens were taking people and experimenting with them.
