Nice! I thought Crockettt came up with all those titles for the scenes/music. If I had to come up with a name, I maybe called it "Bust and Chase of The Professor." Or "School Girls Bust." I really hope Crockettt uploads that piece created for Noogies wedding sometime. Edited March 17, 2018 by summer84

He did name/rename some of the cues on his videos, but he used uses many of the titles from the MP3s I’ve shared over the years, as with “Last Resort”. @Crockettt and I have been friends online for years. He has helped me tremendously with the ability to extract cues from the DVDs for reference. As for Noogie’s wedding song, maybe I can grab that for you sometime, unless Crockettt beats me to it. summer84
Because of the weak storyline/plot, I'll unfortunately have to rate this one a 5, maybe even a 4. It was one of the supporting casts turn to be in the spotlight and this time with Olivia Brown, but it didn't turn out that good. And I think the storyline was more about Trudy's dilemma about right and wrong as a cop and not so much about busting the drug dealer. It lacked a lot more tension, action and a bigger operation, more use of JH music and possibly better directing. Although she did have some good scenes and showed of her acting skills. I’m surprised you didn’t like this more Summer- I suppose it’s quite light but it was nice to see the spotlight on OB. This episode, along with “Home Invaders”, was directed by b-movie director Abel Ferrara who was quite acclaimed at the time but I think he specialised in violence/ horror ?! Go figure Edited March 26, 2018 by Matt5
summer84
Well, the storyline was weak, but still an episode I can watch nonetheless! Edited March 27, 2018 by summer84
Robbie C.
Just rewatched this and still like it quite a bit. Parts of the story might be weak, but it highlights how the Vice squad can come together for one of their own. OB did a fantastic job showing Trudy's confusion after her first shooting and trying to reconcile her job and her desire for a personal life outside of it. I really liked Castillo, too. His concern for his people is real, and comes across beautifully here. Adonis was the perfect punk trying to move up in the trade. And it's always fun watching Crockett go head-to-head with IAB.
Matt5
I watched this one recently and directed by Abel Ferrara. I do always enjoy this one with Trudy taking central stage and good guest stars and locations. 9.5/
RedDragon86
Olivia Brown's performance was excellent. Her scene towards the end with Castillo was particularly good, the writing was spot on as well. She was fine-tuned for this role. I like they way she says "Where'd that come from?" to Marty and "I'd be a lot better off if everyone stopped worrying about me and leave me alone!" She was so good in this. 9/10
Robbie C.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if this episode had an alternate or working title at any point? I know quite a few of them did (Back in the World and Mirror Image spring to mind, and of course The Savage), but I haven't seen anything about this one. Filmed after “Lombard” at the end of March - early April 1985 but held back to Season 2 for its airdate. This was the first and last episode to feature two live performances by two artists in an episode I read. I think the song you mentioned that Sheena Easton sang was a snippet? Not a full length version like “Love is for Sale” and “King of Babylon” we see in the DO, maybe that’s what the wikia is claiming. update- El Debarge sang and performed two songs in “Bought and Paid For” again which was rare on the show in terms of actual performances. I think what wikia is claiming is two performances by two different artists for the DO. Edited August 20, 2019 by Matt5
AndrewRemington
I just rewatched this one last night and I liked it more than I remembered. A lot of episodes are like that for me where they grow on me after sometime. However, I do hate the internal interrogation of Trudy. What a bunch of BS. Cops can’t shoot someone who shooting at them? The biggest question for me is: Why is it called “The Dutch Oven”? That title makes zero sense to me. I could understand if the episode was a real “pot-boiler” but it’s really not. Interesting premise and I like Trudy more attention. Edited June 25, 2020 by AndrewRemington
summer84
As I recall reading, the IA interrogation of Trudy is standard police procedure, whenever a cop has used their gun it has to be investigated. And this was just MV trying to show an example of that in one episode. Considering how many times they fired a gun it would be really boring showing that every time.
