Administrators Ferrariman Posted December 10, 2008 Administrators Report Share Posted December 10, 2008 I was given this link by Mr. Calderone, I think it's worth a look!http://edition.cnn.com/2008/TRAVEL/12/03/miami.overview/index.html?iref=intlOnlyonCNN
Viceman Cometh
Fascinating, thoughtful article. But who in their right mind would call the 80s a "mercifully bygone era"?!!
DJAngel
Thanks Lou:clap:If the perception of the city has changed, then it's good. Any city has it's problems. It's always been an exciting place to visit:happy:
omaha
It seems I posted the same article five days before Ferrariman. Well, that's life. That's what the people say....(Sinatra)
cageyJG
I liked what was said about art deco and tourism from snowbirds. My comment is on the 80s references in there. Nice article, but why did the guy thrash the 80s like that? He's suggesting that he doesn't look back on the 90s and laugh? And that something came out of the 00s that is culturally superior to the 80s? What would that be? Brit-pop? Sure, Tubbs had one or two bad outfits in Season Five, but puhlease. P.S. - 60% of the population there is from outside the U.S.? My goodness, that's a lot of visas.
Frey
A CNN reporter ripping the 80's? I'm SHOCKED! Shocked I tell you! He probablly voted against Reagan (80's) and for Clinton (90's)
