Kavinsky Posted August 31, 2012 Report Share Posted August 31, 2012 all of a sudden I'm running the new computer and pow! the thing goes dead, a 100 dead but the monitor has power so try a few things, nothing happensI plug in the wire again into the rear outlet of the computer, I see some power went to the thing as the computer started up after I pressed the power up button and then another pow almost imediately after I hit the power button and it goes dead, but it lit up however and then went dead, so I switch the computer wires for that off of the old one and it seems to be working fine nowmy question is what the hell just happened, did my power wire just break and short out and the computers a 100% fine, I mean I did have the thing connected to a new surge protector.
