October 1st - October 7th: "Amen...Send Money" (the second episode of the fourth season) premiered on NBC on Friday, October 2nd, 1987 at 9PM. Some notes about this episode (from Miami Vice Wiki):* This episode was the first filmed for Season 4.* When Miami Vice was first syndicated, the toll-free number (1-800-555-LOVE) for IGG Ministries was blocked out. "Stone's War" (the second episode of the third season) premiered on NBC on Friday, October 3rd, 1986 at 9PM. Some notes about this episode (from Miami Vice Wiki):* Crockett gets his new cover car, a 1986 Ferrari Testarossa, in this episode. It would remain his car for the rest of the series, though his Daytona reappears in "El Viejo" as the result of a continuity goof. * Maynard's character never resurfaces on the show, making him the only major recurring villain in the series to not only survive but escape prosecution altogether. * Although never implicitly stated in the show, it is possible that Crockett's new Testarossa is, in fact Bunny Berrigan's from "When Irish Eyes Are Crying", confiscated (posthumously) and resprayed white, as Crockett comments that it has "new paint" when he takes possession. "Whatever Works" (the second episode of the second season) premiered on NBC on Friday, October 4th, 1985 at 10PM. Some notes about this episode (from Miami Vice Wiki):* The Santeria religion (also referenced in the episode "Milk Run") relates to the cocaine-packed statues used to bring the drugs into Miami.* The role of the Santerian priestess was reportedly offered to Tina Turner first, then to Eartha Kitt when Turner declined.* When this episode was repeated in May, 1986, it marked the final time that Miami Vice would air in its original 10:00pm time slot until 1988."Cool Runnin'" (the third episode of the first season) premiered on NBC on Friday, October 5th at 10PM. Some notes about this episode (from Miami Vice Wiki):* This marks the debut of Charlie Barnett as Nugart Neville Lamont, aka "The Noogman." * The $28.95 lobster Tubbs drops into the ocean would cost $63.43 as of 2012. * The Cardozo Hotel, visible in the background at the site where Bobby and Jake were ambushed, was remodeled after this episode and is now called the Cardozo Hotel at South Beach, owned by Gloria and Emilio Estefan. * Not From Miami Vice Wiki: Don Johnson has a rather strange face mark on his right-cheek this entire episode. It almost looks as if he was the victim of some sort of brawl before this episode was filmed. In the beginning of this episode Crockett & Tubbs are in a car wreck, but Philip Michael Thomas has no marks whatsoever. It almost seems this mark on Don´s face was written into the story.
