December 31st - January 6th:"Milk Run", the 12th episode of the 1st season, premiered on NBC on Friday, January 4th, 1985 at 10PM EST. Some notes on this episode (from Miami Vice Wiki):* Gina and Trudy do not appear in this episode. * This was the first episode where Crockett and Tubbs do a coin toss to decide who goes where. * The Santeria religion is revisited in the second season episode "Whatever Works".* By definition, a Milk Run is "a routine trip involving stops at many places."* In the scene where Eddie is killed, the picture flickers quite distractingly, probably because the scene was not originally intended to be shown in slow motion and so was not shot using a high-speed camera; as a result, when the footage was slowed down, some of the breaks in the film can be seen as black 'flashes'.* After Eddie is shot and crashes through the glass display case, you can see several Atari 2600 cartridges on the floor, including "Super Breakout" and "Yars Revenge".* The Senator Hotel where Louis and Eddie arrange their drug deal was demolished in October, 1988 to make room for a parking building.* Another hotel Crockett and Tubbs pass by, the Revere Hotel, was demolished in 1993 by fashion designer Giovanni Versace to build the pool for his home, Casa Casuarina.* Crockett doesn't actually eat his hot dog, but (instead) drops it behind the seat of Sloan's sports car. There was no Season 2 premiere episode this week. There was no Season 3 premiere episode this week. There was no Season 4 premiere episode this week. There was no Season 5 premiere episode this week.

I love this episode. Jon Kapelos is great in it ("You know, they're making sex a misdemeanor...?") and his character allows Crockett to really flex his sort of good cop to the end persona, even if it means a little threat here and there.I also love the music playing (one of those never released Hammer music cues?) in the above mentioned scene at the bar with Kapelos.EDDIE!!!! NO!!!!!!

Definition of Milk Run (according to Urban Dictionary) (n) A very easy task, usually used in the Air Force to define an easy mission. Referred to when Crockett and Tubbs transport Eddie and Louis from the safe house to the airport. - The Milk Run
