agent 47
I am posting a new thread because Sleuth has screwed Miami Vice fans. They have dropped the series in the middle of season three! I am boycotting Sleuth for defiling Vice fan not because they just dropped it but they didn't finish the series run one last time. Dropping it in the middle of ssn 3! If you want to boycott them, just leave a message here. If you feel it's stupid, don't hesitate to post why. Just for people who want to boycott the channel with me, don't insult and slam people who don't agree. Same for people who don't support the boycott. And please don't use a lot of foul language. DJWannaB
Sure, but I dont know if I get that channel. If I do I'll lock the channel along with TBS.
CarolineUK
In Britain we are used to channels dropping MV in the middle of a series and/or not showing the episodes in order, hence why I have bought all five series on DVD when they were released here. At least I can watch them now when I want.
Richie Rich
Don't the moderators have a method to delete an entire thread? It seems appropriate in this case. The same was needed when there were dozens of new threads that were started for every single new glossary entry. That was just ridiculous. There should have been one thread, titled "New Entries in the Glossary", and then the thread should have been used to update the members with a new post to this single thread. The member who clogged up the board with the dozens of new threads should be asked to cease doing that, please! OK - that's it. I am done with my rant.I look forward to your response. All of the new glossary entries got posted there automatically (which none of us knew).timm525 "discovered" this yesterday. Admin Kaept'n Caipi deleted this forum immediately because all of us were of the opinion that this forum is not needed. Please apologize that the "new post" section was flooded by the entries.(As I do not have the rights to move a post (or part of it) to another thread I posted my respond here although it's "off topic" in relation to thread title.) Lar
Listen, I'm disappointed that MV is gone, too. This means that MV, to the best of my knowledge, is not being broadcast on any channel in the US. At least not any major network. But, like I said before, it had a very good run on Sleuth, outliving a ton of other shows. And Sleuth, for the most part, did treat the show well. Yes, I know there were scheduling changes this past year, but the fact that it had great scheduling for most of it's run on the station (even when they were only playing three out of the five seasons) has to count for something. And, it's not just MV they cut, it looks like all of their 'old' shows are gone. No more Magnum or Simon & Simon (two other longtime shows on the channel), or even the 60's Dragnet (which, for the record, WAS treated like crap by the channel). Yes, Sleuth sucks now, but let's be grateful for the years that MV (as well as Magnum, another favorite of mine) aired in decent timeslots. What were they supposed to do, run the show forever? And, we DO have the entire series on DVD, and if you don't like double-sided discs (who does?), the complete series set is entirely single-sided. Yes, it's pricier, but to me, the extra cost is worth it, especially with that slick alligator skin box. There's just no reason to go MV-less, despite Sleuth's dropping of the show. Guest neworder
If your that much of a true MV fan you'll have the DVDs, better quality, no adverts.A few years back ITV4 in the UK stopped showing Miami Vice on the first episode of Season 4. Now i was justifiably angry because season 4/5 boxsets had yet to be released. And now we have no Vice on TV at all, for a quite a while actually and i dont care either cos i have the DVDsSJB

I agree that the members may disagree with the appropriateness of a thread, and whether it should stand, or be deleted. Obviously, you know that I thought it should be deleted.I also acknowledge that the mods should be the ones to decide about the "To Delete, or Not To Delete" question. I trust your judgment on this matter. It's one of the reasons I am here, and not on the "old" website. Thanks .

agent 47
I am writing this to let you know the real reason for this boycott is NOT because they dropped it exactly, only partly. Just dropping it in the middle of the season is ridiculous. I wouldn't boycott it if they either A. finish the season B.J ust finish the show one more time. They chose to take EVERYTHING off. I watched everything on that channel except Knight Rider. This isn't about getting them to show the program FOREVER, just they should have finished the season or show. Same goes for the other shows (although Dragnet was treated like dirt!. Other channels who dropped it and other great programs in the middle of the season, that goes to channels around the world. Edited May 4, 2016 by agent 47 Edited out mention of another Vice site.

I joined .org a couple of days before this one,I always start there and come over here after I'm done,I use the same name:agent 47,over there.)Well I'm no network producer here, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night , I'd say that the show was just filler for them. They have no loyalty to a show, only to the ratings it brings them. Older shows like this, A-Team, Airwolf, Knight Rider and such are filler for a time slot. Administrators Ferrariman Posted January 4, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted January 4, 2009 Agent 47, I know how you feel but as Timm said, they have no loyalty to the shows on their network. I understand your anger but that anger is best taken out on them via e-mail. As for you still visiting .org I have one question. Why?
Lar
Agreed that MV was, by the end, simply filler. Ratings speak louder than fans do.
gstien
I agree, it's easy to boycott Sleuth, because there ISN'T anything on there I want to watch. Lar has a good point, ratings speak louder than fans. I enjoyed seeing MV on tv for the first time in years, but alas it's over for now.As for foul language, I don't think the execs at Sleuth read this board. Sorry to pee on your parade.... agent 47
Well. I guess screw this boycott (wait until they see their new ratings, Special Forces 2, disaster! Bwahahaha!) just have to get the DVDs,now...CARRY THEM IN THE STORE, BEST BUY! NOBODY WANTS TO RUN UP THEIR CREDIT CARD ONLINE BECAUSE YOU CAN'T CARRY THEM! Oh,yeah, I'm not a boycotter, I just stayed in a Holiday Inn last night. Edited May 4, 2016 by agent 47 Edited for spelling and stupidity. Lar
My Best Buy carries the sets. In fact, that's where I bought the complete series a year ago. If your's doesn't have them, they may be able to order them and have them shipped to your store.
