April 22nd - April 28th:**There was no Season 1 premiere episode****There was no Season 2 premiere episode****There was no Season 3 premiere episode****There was no Season 4 premiere episode**"Over The Line", the 15th episode of the 5th season, premiered on NBC on Friday, April 28th, 1989 at 10Pm EDT. Some notes on this episode (from Miami Vice Wiki):* This episode's plot is very similar to that of the second Dirty Harry film, "Magnum Force", in which a group of motorcycle cops take the law into their own hands and begin executing criminals and also attempt to recruit the main character to their cause.* Robert Fields would play "Highsmith" again in the series finale "Freefall." * In the opening sequence, Tubbs is not in his usual '64 Cadillac convertible, but in a 70s Chevrolet Convertible.* The "Hatch Act" prevents U.S. government employees from participating in partisan political activity. Apparently, the city of Miami or Dade County doesn't have a similar provision (in the fictional sense), as two on-duty Metro-Dade police officers are campaigning for Captain Highsmith before they are shot down.

I love "Over The Line", very good episode. I've seen it many times, but I watched in on Centric a few weeks back, and it still strikes me just how cool this scene was:
