The Wolf of Wall Street references Miami Vice

Weeks ago I first seen the commercials for the movie The Wolf of Wall Street which takes place in the mid-'80s.It had enough excess and glamor for it to make me hopeful that they'll mention the show.Today I looked at the IMDB page of the movie,looked at the connections section,and behold they did :D It doesn't say what was said about the show but on one of the commercials for the movie we see someone driving a red Testarossa :cool: From what I read about the film is very funny though there is ALOT of birthday suits going on :)

I went to see the movie. It was actually quite good.

I giggled when the MV reference came up......

 

Did they actually say Miami Vice in the movie ?! :D

Yes. He was explaining that he made so much money when he opened his business that he had a stable of cars and it shows him driving a RED Ferrari. He then corrects in the narration that it was WHITE "just like the one in Miami Vice" The next scene flashes and he is driving a white one as per Crockett.
