Castillo wants to nail the Cruz family for obscure businesses. When youngest son Felipe comes back to Miami, VICE is curious about the reason. They believe he is destined to become his father's successor. When tailing him, they find an AIDS hospice led by Felipe Cruz' brother in law and priest Ernesto Lupe. One night the priest is killed, but there is no motive...
Castillo möchte die Familie Cruz, die dubiose Geschäfte betreibt, überführen. Daher spitzt man Ohren, als man hört, daß Jorge Cruz' jüngster Sohn Felipe überraschend nach Miami zurückkehrt. VICE vermutet, daß er seinen Vater beerben soll. Bei Felipes Beschattung stößt man auf ein AIDS Hospiz, das vom Schwager von Jorge Cruz, einem Priester, mit dem auch Castillo befreundet ist, geleitet wird. Eines Nachts wird der Priester ermordet. Die Frage ist nur warum, denn es gibt weit und breit kein Motiv dafür...

Zusatzinformation:
Directrice Eliasberg mentioned later in an interview that the original script intended to portray the aid refusal of the Catholic Church for gay people suffering from AIDS. This intended storyline led to some interventions of the Catholic Church at NBC. Due to Eliasberg the script was altered in some points and thus became somewhat diluted compared to the first version.
Regisseurin Eliasberg erwähnte in einem späteren Interview, dass das ursprüngliche Skript vorsah, die Verweigerung von Hilfe für AIDS-kranke Schwule durch die katholische Kirche darzustellen. Diese beabsichtigte Storyline führte zur Einmischung der katholischen Kirche bei NBC. Nach Eliasberg wurde das Skript in einigen Punkten geänderten wurde daher etwas abgeschwächt zum ersten Entwurf.

The storyline is nothing special, but this episode delivers good optics, well selected music and a very powerful boat chase that is underscored by an awesome Love&Rockets tune.
Von der Story her eher beliebig, aber mit einigen sehr guten Elementen: tolle Bootsverfolgung mit Klassesong von Love and Rockets, Handkamera und gute Optik.
