I’m watching Extralarge a tv series that ran for 2 seasons (1991-1993) with PMT and tons of MV extras.

so I’m having so much fun with this series that I truly believe MV could’ve gone into the 90’s even without DJ.

anyone else seen this?

Never seen this show - thanks for posting :hippie:

Speaking of Season 5:

Last night I watched a couple of episodes I haven’t watched in at least 10 years!

Line of Fire: Mostly unbelievable story, but still somehow mostly enjoyable. Good performances by DJ and PMT.

Asian Cut:  “Under the Milky Way” is one of my favorite recordings ever, and it really goes well with those scenes. Trudy looks amazing. :fireworks:

Great episodes - and I agree about “Under Milky” had a great feel about the song - fitted the episode well:hippie:

After MV we was glad, that PMT was back and we enjoyed Extra Large, because we finally got to see similar pictures from Miami again.

OT: There was a second collaboration with Bud Spencer and PMT back in 1996, the German title is "Zwei Engel mit vier Fäusten". Translation: Two angels with four fists. Wikipedia says: "We are angels".

Extralarge, whilst being a great show - anything with Bud Spencer is great if you ask me ;) - is in another league. It was just with a good show with Bud and blue Caddy and MV is simply superb. Obviously, my 2 cents, not the absolute truth

  • 1 year later...

Philip Michael Thomas immediately was in talks to star in another Miami cop show in 1989- signed on in 1990 and by 1991 was in “Extralarge” a fun series that feels like a lighter version of Miami Vice- an adventurous sequel IMO.

About 21 minutes into the episode, the house at 42 Star Island shown in Little Prince is used as a location.  It's also seen briefly in the hot tub scene later.
