ZAQ 178
EBay- search deconstructed blazer! I picked up a few really nice used mint condition deconstructed blazers. No liners or pads. 150$ blazer for 30$... sure why not!
IA-SteveB
I have been interested in finding deconstructed blazers that are sans buttons on the sleeves and can be pushed up fairly easily. I ordered one of each of the below just to try since returns are easy on Prime. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00902BPUS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RS1V3XN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I just wanted to see what these might be like. I am guessing the first example is thicker than I'd like but it doesn't hurt to at least give them a try. We'll see. Rattlehead
I'm weary of those due to the fabrics (polyester and viscose.) I strictly go for linen, cotton, and silk which will keep you cool - especially since I live in a warmer climate. IA-SteveB
That's true. I will report back since it will be in the mid 80's when I get them both. I will try and wear the questionable poly one this weekend. I know not to expect much with the price and origin but for a blazer that will not be worn all that much I am willing to try it. Crockett had plenty of different styles. Edited July 24, 2019 by IA-SteveB
IA-SteveB
I am starting to dig the Tommy Bahama unstructured blazers. Anyone have these? Not a lot of colors but they seem light and silky. Edited July 25, 2019 by IA-SteveB

IA-SteveB
I just thought I would throw this out there in case this fits anyone here. I really like the look of this one. Only in XL+ It's a bummer because I have been looking for one that is gray and white. https://www.yoox.com/US/49372817/item?dept=men&tp=181820&utm_source=criteo_us&utm_medium=retargeting&utm_campaign=us_rmktg_lower_funnel_nc_30d#cod10=49372817WU&sizeId=&sizeName= Edited August 23, 2019 by IA-SteveB
BunMVO
Anyone here in the market for size 40 blazers? I have one Hugo Boss unstructured blazer that is 100% cotton. Keep in mind the sleeves are short, approximately 23". That's why I'm selling. http://ebay.us/WVK5vS?cmpnId=5338273189 I have a couple others as well that I plan on selling, one white and one magenta. I will list them on eBay tomorrow. IA-SteveB
I have been seeing several decent blazers on Yoox lately. I kind of dig the one below but it is a bit TOO turquoise to me. Anyway, I have seen several that I like but since this is a clearance site it can be hard to find stuff in your size. I still can't find the one two posts up, which is technically considered a cardigan. You may want to look through men's blazers and sort by price from lowest to highest. I usually quit looking when I hit $60. lol https://www.yoox.com/us/49434737FB/item#dept=men&sts=sr_men80&cod10=49434737FB&sizeId=6&sizeName=L

IA-SteveB
Jack & Jones Originals makes one similar to the blue one. Let me see if I can find it. edit. Very close color but not as long. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F174042231685 Edited December 16, 2019 by IA-SteveB
IA-SteveB
Not sure if this would interest anyone but this is somewhat similar to a jacket Sonny has worn. I think his had light gray stripes but this seems nice. It is slim fit like EVERYTHING these days. If the stripes were just a bit more muted I would be in on this one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Paisley-Gray-Linen-Blend-Slim-Fit-Blazer-Mens-Blue-36/193196512626?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3Dc021e0be20f140179925bd7cb9c95aec%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dco%26sd%3D174042231685%26itm%3D193196512626%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851 Edited December 16, 2019 by IA-SteveB
MichaelAce
It seems too "closed" to me Sonny wore blazers that were meant to stay opened, mainly because of his holster They had a straight cut and not that weird "arrow look"
IA-SteveB
You just have to adapt with the style and make it your own. Unless you know a very talented seamstress or are a patient used clothing shopper, it's all you've got.
BunMVO
I recently picked this one up even though I won't be able to wear it until spring. Thoughts? https://www.ebay.com/itm/J-Crew-Ludlow-Blazer-Mens-38R-Blue-Unstructured-Cotton-Linen-Two-Button-Double-V/293223221314?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 It's one of my favorites so far. IA-SteveB
I picked up one like the below a few months ago on eBay for $12. It is one of my favorites and appears a lighter blue in person. Super light and airy. I wore it with a white Henley and white linen pants. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F333415858004 Edited December 18, 2019 by IA-SteveB

IA-SteveB
Well, the Paisley & Gray blazer I linked above (Dec 16 post) didn't work out too well. The perils of ordering unfamiliar brands online bit me. It is quite a nice blazer and would fit me well IF the arms weren't like sausage casings. I am into bodybuilding but the arms on that jacket are ridiculously small and I felt like I was going to rip right through them if I moved. Kind of like David Banner morphing into Lou Ferrigno's Hulk. Disappointing. On a side note, in the Hulk TV series, all David carried was a small leather bag with his belongings as he lived his nomadic lifestyle. If he was ripping through three outfits an episode, did he have to go to a thrift store to stock up before hiking to his next town?

I'm only doing a laugh reaction because as a man who is also around your size, who also tries to dress well, I know your explanation all too well. I just recently bought a white short sleeve button down shirt, and as it's happened before, I also fear that if I bring my arms too close together, the back of the shirt is gonna rip in half lol. Just one of those things you gotta deal with. Everything's either too tight and has the right length/inseam, or it fits well, but is too long. Lately I've been buying cheap polo tees from H&M, as they have stretch to 'em. It's my way of dressing a bit nicer, without having to wear clothes that need to be ironed, and give me a bit more flexibility (no pun intended). H&M tends to carry a lot of men's clothes in pastel colors, and they're not expensive, so it's a good place for this sorta stuff (short sleeve shirts anyway. Pants are always too long with a 32 inseam or more, and always skinny/slim fit. I think their main draw of customers are men who are 6 feet tall or more, but all weigh less than 150 pounds, lol). IA-SteveB
That's cool. I haven't checked H&M recently but I should see what they have to offer for springtime stuff. I started off buying blazers new off of Macys but none of them seemed right to me style wise and it took me a while to figure out what I was really looking for. Luckily they have a good return policy. I have more blazers than any man should but I also pick them up slightly used from eBay or Poshmark for $20-$30 for the most part. If they end up not fitting I usually either donate them to Goodwill or try to resell online (which isn't easy when you are dealing in my size). The only way you can get rid of them online is to have them dirt cheap so I feel better about just donating. The best blazer I have is an older olive Uniqlo that is a very thin polyester and it s super comfortable. That one was $12 shipped and was in perfect condition. Uniqlo and J Crew Ludlow unstructured are at the top of my list when I am on the hunt. I am really bad about impulse buying with clothes. I really hope Uniqlo has some good spring blazers in colors. They did years ago and I have a fantastic goldenrod one that's in my avatar. Edited January 15, 2020 by IA-SteveB
