Rare '80s music

Here's some a dump of a few more new finds I've discovered this week.

Polish 1981. It was sampled here in 2014https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qZsg2kSImY

Italy 1989. Nice part at 1:30 and 3:20.

Japan 1985. Instrumental.

South Africa 1984. Sounds exactly how the cover looks!

UK 1989. This is quite repetitive. There's a version with lyrics but it's not on Youtube.

I heard this today and fell in love with it. Totally obscure, very few results on Google and had to upload to Youtube myself.

1:58 - 2:45 is perfect French pop.

Excellent! Thanks for the upload/share.

This one features the DX7 slap bass sound Jan Hammer used in many season 2 cues (like Robbie’s Theme).

a lot of the music I'm drawn to always shares similarities but I'm unable to identify what they are. I wish I had your ear and knowledge of synths.

This track is another new find from France, it sounds more modern than it's '87 release date. The girl is pretty hot too.

Just found this song while looking up some library tracks. Sounds like the Miami Vice theme in a faster tempo:

I know absolutely nothing about this artist, Kevin Gilbert but hearing this album he's super talented and it made me sit up.

Quote

Too bad the guy died just before auditioning for new Genesis lead singer.

This was mentioned on one site I visited. He died of asphyxiation in 1996. :(

Also he was 21 when he released this album. Such a shame.

I found this album but recognised the composer's name. It says in the comments it made as the demo for Yamaha using mostly default DX7 patches.

This track E-Minor Shuffle is really good and when I searched the title a few videos came up including one with Michael Landu performing it!
