Street food in Miami Vice

In "Little Prince" Tubbs buys a hot dog from a street vendor as an excuse to pump him for information.  Of course, he tosses it into the dumpster rather than eating it because he is so health conscious.

What other times in Vice do we see someone getting street food?

Someone on Instagram brought this to my attention, but I think Tubbs is actually Vegetarian just like Philip Michael Thomas is (and has been since the 70s). It's said during the Milk Run when Crockett asks if he wants one, and Tubbs replies "No thanks I'm vegetarian", and again in Son's and Lovers "Veggie burger! Veggie burger!" (which sounds more jokingly). Probably bought that hot dog in Little Prince as a thank you gesture to the guy for the information, but that might be the reason for tossing it in the dumpster.

There's that spot that Castillo goes to a couple of times, like in God's Work but I don't know if you'd classify it as "street".  Also there was Annie's spot in Buddies.

Great post - not really Street food but always love that shot in “Little Prince”, in the teaser, of the camera filming the Daytona behind the Counter of the West Flagler/12th Avenue Little Havana café.

I like this scene.  Good banter between C&T, good acting.   It must have cost quite a bit of time & money to film this scene with all the extras in the background.

Crockett ends up buying 3 hot dogs from 2 different vendors in this scene.  They start across from the SE corner of the courthouse:

But that hot dog ends up in Sloan's back seat:

Then they walk over to the SW corner of the courthouse and Sonny gets 1, no make that 2 more:

Good one!  She offers them free food but Tubbs says "Thanks, but no thanks" and Crockett says "He doesn't eat meat".

Dadrian is right, it's the same food truck we see Annie using in "Buddies".  They repainted it with the same colors but a different color scheme.

I totally forgot about that one!

It looks like they just re-purposed the ice cream truck that caught a missile in "The Good Collar".  However, the side mirror is slightly different and the hub cap is missing.

Good one!  Not a mobile food cart or truck, but it is street food in that they have no seating.  You order from the street and take your food with you.
