mjcmmv
Well, we have a tight-knit community here and we're watching out for each other. Some folks need groceries, some social contact (phone, not physical). We all check up on each other. I'm trying to be physically active by walking outside on the boardwalk and in the park. I'm taking some on-line courses, writing, reading, learning new skills, catching up with good friends. I've been forced to slow down and that's the one silver lining with all this. Most importantly, I'm trying to support the "little people" in my life-my grandkids. They're frightened and confused, so I'm working hard to make them feel secure. I talk to them on Skype daily, even reading them stories. Of course, I'm watching Miami Vice, and thinking about new stories, now that there's time to explore. Love sharing with all of you! IA-SteveB
At least the grocery store by my parents (in their early 70's) only lets in elderly and special needs from 8am-9am. They have been ok. The stores in my area seem to keep up on stock but there is no hand sanitizer, TP or bread. If people would just learn to take what they need and not be so greedy, things would be ok. Stores waited too long to establish quantity limits. We have access to our local grocery store from 6am to 7:30 AM. Tough hours but we're grateful I agree the stores waited too long to establish limits, but I think they never expected this. We are all trying to learn, Edited March 19, 2020 by mjcmmv
Vicefan7777
Here in Nevada the Governor gave the order for all casinos and non essential businesses to shut down for 30 days. The strip of Las Vegas is now a ghost town.

That's because there is more testing. The majority will be mild cases and many people with serious cases will recover. So much depends on individual health and quality of care. As the number of infections increase the percentage of fatalities will decline. Watch the briefings from the White House on occasion but don't dwell on it. My advice.

In S5 DJ wasn't around much and to me the actors didn't feel as enthusiastic about the acting. I know that (as often described here on the forum), they were supposed to be burned out. But I also felt that lack of enthusiasm/interest in S4. I thought you were gonna say, you slept through it. I think the first episode of S5 was really great, if not the best of the season. But yeah I'll try and give it a second chance. Edited March 20, 2020 by summer84
Gary1911A1
Started watching Justified which I had purchased on DVDs'. Vice is getting ready to restart on Encore. I live alone now so I reach out to friends on the internet and phone. Do my own Step Aerobic off YouTube and do some dry fire as ammo is hard to find and you have to go out to buy it. Try not to watch to much news as it just tends to repeat itself. I shop on-line for groceries and pick them up behind the store to keep my social distance. Also a great time to do Spring Cleaning!

Most of the actors were still motivated until the end apart from Don in my opinion, his body language in season 5 just signals boredom. Maybe he didn't feel like putting as much effort into it, as he was ready to do other things and knowing it was the last season. From interviews it sounds the other cast members would have continued on.
Eclipse9
Well........I`m from Italy. As you all know the country is completely shut down , nothing is active apart from shops/supermarkets (food and supplies) and pharmacies. You are not allowed to go outside for any reason apart from visiting the aforementioned places.Gotta bring a paper stating your business otherwise the cops may fine/arrest you. There are people who follow the rules , and many others who don`t , like always. Since I haven`t got much to do , I have lots of time to watch Miami Vice , started fairly recently but I got hooked on the show . Oh yeah....also cleaning the house haha.

IA-SteveB
I wish everyone a safe weekend. I am not planning to go anywhere. There are 44 cases in my state and 1 in my county. The expected surge is about 10-14 days away if the virus follows other trends. I think as young, invincible spring breakers come home, the surge will begin days after. I am just planning on watching a lot of programs and trying to improve my knowledge a bit by reading some non-fiction. I live alone so it won't be too much fun. I imagine that I will be a work-from-home candidate next week. Edited March 20, 2020 by IA-SteveB

It's my favourite country and it's heartbreaking to see it so hard hit. I've been there and it's a country I adore. I am really hoping that the warmer weather of spring will get rid of the virus. It's summer in Australia now and the virus hasn't been as bad there. I hope it'll be the same in Europe. I'll be relieved when it's over and I'm just hoping it will be soon. I've been quarantining at home and only venturing out for shopping. Hopefully this nightmare will be over soon and I hope it never happens again. This virus will be beaten. IA-SteveB
I did discover the app PlutoTV. There are so many shows on that for free on dozens and dozens of channels. I have been binge watching the American Gladiators channel which brings back memories. The NASA channel is awesome with all of the documentaries. I'm an Apollo missions buff. It is just shocking what is happening in my favorite country, which is Italy! It is a tragedy, but one thing is for certain. After every dark night there will be sunlight again! At least nowadays we have the internet to keep in touch with beloved people who are separated from us! Stay healthy and enjoy some legendary MV-episodes meanwhile! Best wishes from Germany!
