airtommy
I'll start with an obscure one: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0285468/ In "Stone's War" Raymond Forchion played "O'Hara", one the CIA goons chasing after Ira Stone. But he got his start on Vice playing an OCB character named "Don". In "Cool Runnin" he is in the scene where Noogie gets booked at the OCB. Tubbs walks up to him and says "Hey Don" and then they have a long conversation that you can barely hear. Later Don & Trudy banter as they go to Lou's office. Don says "That kind of spray pattern gets serious". In "Hit List" Don hands Tubbs a file and says "SID found this in the trunk of the shooter's car at the motel". Dadrian
@airtommy @summer84 you guys have inspired me to start sharing things like this. Maybe we should start a thread about stuff you notice after watching a thousand times. I always think “yeah they’ve noticed that” or “they would worry about my psychosis”, but you probably already are anyway. summer84
Wow, great catch airtommy! These are some of the other detectives/extras in the squad, that are often seen in the OCB, who appeared on Miami Vice in all five seasons, but not necessarily all episodes. Seen in the opening of "Evan." Among others. Joseph B. Remy, which is his real name was also a stand in for EJO and Frank Zappa among others. And he had speaking part in S3. Sara Rogers seen on the right in S1's "Lombard." And S5's "Redemption in Blood." Among other episodes. She was also a stand in for Saundra Santiago, Sheena Easton and Rita Moreno. And had a line in S3. The bald guy with cigar in his mouth was also often seen around the OCB. He was probably a regular in all five seasons. Seen in the above pic "Lombard." And the guy with the red hair, who was referred to by Crockett as Mark, which I recall was also his real name. Also had a speaking part, but I can't remember the exact episode. Seen in "Free Verse." Among other episodes. And not to forget Robert Hoelscher, who was Miami Vice's technical advisor, he had an acting part in the show, but was also seen in the background without any lines. In 2015 when I did my last viewing of the entire series, I made a note to start a thread on OCB characters. It only took me 5 years and a global plague to get around to it. I didn't know either, but managed to find the outfit, that Crockett wore in the episode, searching through the MV glossary, which is "Streetwise." Joseph shared this picture on his website. He says "Crockett, Trudy, line two." Though you don't get to see him clearly. Edited March 30, 2020 by summer84

In my opinion he was probably a personal friend of a producer because he was included so many times. The bald guy hands Rico flowers and says "Hey Tubbs, someone left this downtown for you." Tubbs replies ouhh. It sounds like the guy says "I don't know" and then "There is a card." airtommy
So it turns out there were two red-heads in the OCB. It was discussed in this informative (but difficult to read) thread: https://miamiviceonline.com/index.php?/topic/3073-dear-dumb-dio-died/ They sit at the same desk apparently. If you sit at Sonny's desk and look past Rico, you would see Mark & Dio's desk. Mark is identified in Free Verse. He wheels Sandoval into the conference room. As Sonny leaves, he says "Mark" and looks at Mark and points to Sandoval in the wheelchair. Mark does not have a speaking role that I can find. Dio is identified in The Big Thaw during the opening credits. Stan yells at him, "Hey, Dio, clean off Sonny's desk, will you?" Here is Dio with the bald cigar guy. At the end of Prodigal Son when C&T return to the OCB, I believe this is Mark: And in the same scene that is Dio sitting down: Edited April 2, 2020 by airtommy

summer84
An extra in the background, that I might not have noticed, if it hadn't been for her son Eric Seiden, sharing these pictures of his mother on the set of Miami Vice. The photos he shared: https://www.flickr.com/search/?sort=date-taken-desc&safe_search=1&tags=miamivice&user_id=18431794%40N00&view_all=1 "This is mom on the set of Miami Vice. airtommy
Hmmm, in Redemption In Blood when Sonny returns to the OCB, I see 3 red-headed guys! The first person to draw a gun is obviously Dio: I think this is Mark but I'm not sure: And who is this?
