But notice the diamond-shaped sign alerting drivers to a winding road ahead. I don’t see any fit here. But given the fact that we haven’t found any matching dead end street so far after long searches (and dead end streets don’t disappear), we need to consider that the sign might say something else. yes the house with the driveway is the second house after the stop sign. The first is just not well visible as there is high vegetation in front of it where the yellow police tape is on. There is a distinct low wall or fence visible behind Crockwtt between the two houses. See picture below where I copied two stills together to save space. The closest match for this is and the location as a whole is the dead end street 2 blocks away from Crockett’s house that I posted further up. It also has the same powerlines as on screen. But the house does not fully match. Edited September 6, 2020 by Tom

None of these comes close as several factors do not match (the house, the driveway, the distance,...) Also none of them has the assumed powerline which usually is not removed from one street and moved to another.

Thanks! I forgot that this theory is not "common knowledge"! Anyway, combining the powerline theory with the theory that the sign is maybe NOT a dead end sign but a warning for curve, speed bumps, etc. might lead to new suspects, because I am through with all dead end streets already and no find ... Bottom line: I will now have to check EVERY intersection (4.way and T-shaped/3-way, because if this is not a dead end sign there is no street to the left of the police car blocking the street) near the other known locations that have two houses next to an intersection with the first behind vegetation, the second accessed by a curved driveway and a wall/fence between the two. Plus the powerlines. That´s too easy now Edited September 6, 2020 by Tom
Tom
@daytona365 @airtommy@C Glide NEW LEAD ON THE VIDEO DATING CLUB! Thanks to the new German Koch Media BluRay set that I got yesterday and its much better video encoding, I was able to read the address on Tubbs´ warrant easily and correctly off the TV screen. It says 400 SOUTHPOINT DRIVE There is no such address, but there is 400 South PointE Drive which is the 1987 built South Pointe Tower used in Vote of Confidence and also in LAFS they filmed right next to it at south point where a body is found. What we see in the video dating scene outside of the building could fit to that grounds in 1987 when everything was new. Also, most locations used in that episode were 1987 (Carols home, FBI office, ....) I could not find anything from Google Earth 2020 above that matches, but it´s worth a shot and examine that lead more deeply. Everything was built and opened there in 1987, on 1986 historic aerials it´s empty and we know that some of these 1987 buildings (the theater used in VOC for the rally meetings) were also removed later. But maybe they used the right address (no need to lie here as they could not expect that some crazy historians like us would take until 2020 to read it)....
Matt5
That is the place - it’s the lobby of South Pointe Towers at 400 South Pointe Drive. Well done @Tom. I was in this lobby last year and where it has been renovated you can still see it’s there same location. The lobby was due to be extensively renovated in the fall of 2019 and moved to the side of the building. When Tubbs and Stan go in you can see these are the same windows. Corridor off lobby Entrance has been renovated but faces South Pointe Drive and Collins Edited October 6, 2020 by Matt5 2

Your picture library is gold! Finally we found the holy grail of MV locations! I have only one complaint: why haven´t you told us earlier about that location if you were even there and had the pictures ? P.S. and what is that strange tall concrete structure we see outside behind Tubbs and Switek? I can´t see it anywhere now....? Matt5
The entrance door in particular has been widened considerably (from 2 to 4) but all the greenery around the lobby windows was the same in 2019. Like the German saying...you couldn‘t see the forrest due to all those trees. Finally that bugger is solved. I would never have figured this to be the lobby of a condo tower, did not even check the location at all. Shame on @Tom and myself...how could this elude us?!?!?! Matt5
Lobby entrance 1987 to how it was when I was there in 2019. airtommy
Great work, Matt & Tom! One thing I always noticed about this scene was the strong wind blowing the trees outside. Maybe this was because they were close to the ocean?

One thing I always noticed about this scene was the strong wind blowing the trees outside. Maybe this was because they were close to the ocean? Thanks Airtommy! For me (I also assume for some others) this location find was the holy grail of location hunting as it was probably the longest and most mysterious bugger case we have ever dealt with. I have personally spent hundreds of hours over the years just in this location that was a significant part of this very good episode for me. After dissecting every detail I have suspected and searched for clinics, universities, churches, cemeteries/mortuaries etc all over Dade county. The wind was my least clue to be honest (in November often strong winds hit Miami; remember hurricane warnings when filming Definitely Miami around the same time of year!) but in hindsight all details make sense. That we found it 30+years after due a piece of obvious information that was always there before our eyes from the beginning (but not readable until now due to bad resolution of DVDs and non German BRs) further adds irony to this case. But it’s solved now and gives hope for other long-standing unsolved cases. Edited October 8, 2020 by Tom
Tom
NEW CLUE FOR THE CRIME SCENE HOUSE WITH ELEVATOR Again I found a new clue when watching the Koch BluRay frame by frame. There is an elevated bridge or a causeway in the background visible with a significant railing (white pillars, brown fence in between; on the right end of that bridge segment we see it seems there is a second white-only pillar/fence below). The bridge is heading away from the viewer in a 60-70 degree angle. That is an important lead like it was with the water of the VOC house yesterday. Maybe @daytona365 can help here again to find it faster?
