I just spent time over there reading a bit of the latest topics and such. I was going to put my .02 in but it's been locked. I AM in a state of shock. I don't know what to say. I've been a member there for quite awhile through the good and bad. I never thought I'd see the day this happened. I'm just glad I can come here and enjoy. I sincerely thank the .info folks for having Lou here, his dedication goes without saying. Sad is the least of it for me. After all you've done for us all! I guess this is where you find out who your friends really are.I have a lot I keep having to erase so I'll leave it at this for now. LOLOLOL

Personally, I think you'll be free of a lot of trouble, Lou. So in strict personal terms, I'd be celebrating if I were in your shoes.I guess in "Miami Squeeze" Crockett says Castillo is the glue that keeps the unit together. I was thinking about saying the same about you and the .org, but then I realized I surely could say it about you, but not at all about the .org. So it would be just empty poetry.While I have you as a friend and as the best moderator I have EVER seen on the net (and I've been through so many forums), I couldn't count the interpersonal problems the .org had. I then remember the trolls, the "great" Miami Vice dictators specialists, or the simple troublemakers.Thinking about the "specialists", I simply could not take them. Some know boats better than us, some could pull a trigger, some understand about the Miami atmosphere better than us, and some even might have worked with Martin Ferrero's cousin's wife's uncle. I wouldn't take such a behavior even from Michael Mann himself, who I suppose could post a word or two about Vice. I don't care about the "first-hand" contact anyone have had with the series, its people and its "hardware". I care about how civilized you can be in a discussion that obviously will deal with different opinions. So at the end, even if you are Don Johnson, even if you have such a "pedigree", expect to hear "I disagree with you" in a decent forum. And be prepared not to curse the other member's mother because of that.The simple troublemakers were another matter. They were simply jerks (the specialist were "solid" jerks) that tried to mantain a confusion state in the site. Usually they had nothing much to do after a certain percentage of the community nailed their lack of occupation. But in some instances the troubles were greater, like the PP case.Well, in such matters, that is, whenever people were seriously trying to turn the .org into hell, I have always seen Lou dealing with it in the most fair, decent and yet energic way. So I've always had faith that at the end of the day, the .org would sleep in peace... Because it was not a place focused on tiranny, though wannabe tyrants would show.I'm ashamed I was perhaps naïve.I say so specially after finding that the .org thread that deals with Lou's leaving was CLOSED... Why did they close it for? That reminds me the sad moment in which the .org had that guy saying he was a Universal representative and any post that dealt with the word DVD was deleted. That was about 2003 and I left the site for some time after that. What is the reason for still being a member if your mouth can be shut anytime? I suppose the first key element for a forum should be a democratic atmosphere. Otherwise, you'll find only one opinion in it, repeated, repeated, repeated...If I said a bad word on the new rulers of the site, I would be simply another jerk. I don't know Martin and I have always the nicest talk with Tifany. But one thing I can say about this whole affair. Lou being out of the .org is not a nice move, and you don't need to be a genius to see it. It's like shooting your own feet.And I guess a very first mistake was made with the closing of the topic.

Well, I'm here officially now after receiving an email from Lou to notify me of the current situation over at .org. I have to say I'm actually glad to be getting away from the place. It has changed so much over the years and I don't think some of the changes have been all that good....which is not to in any way say that Lou made any of these changes...!! Gosh...Lou's always stood right beside me and everyone else when we needed him - and things got really really ugly at times. All the wonderful Miami Vice talk has gone away....so maybe here I'll find it again - I just gotta find my way around and figure out how things work!! So....hey to everyone that knows me and hopefully I'll get to know everyone else!!Hope all the Americans had a wonderful and filling Thanksgiving!!Peace,Cbreze

I wasn't sure how to spell technical so I said TECH for short. Martijn is the technical person! I will stay here because it is my original Miami Vice home & I like the site layout better......but I will do my job with the DVD Discussions both here and on M-V.WS. Tony don't forget that .org is running on a very outdated forum. If it is updated, as it should be, the new site will most likely look a lot like this one so I would get used to it. And if you like the episode guides and pics then please check out the glossary here, you will be more than satisfied. Also, I respect your allegiance to .org and in my opinion you're welcome here, there or on both sites. Just remember that you upset Tifany by referring to .org as a sinking ship. Wow.I am shocked at the events from the past week. For Ferrariman to be removed as moderator of .org is petty and childish, and I am still waiting to hear of an intelligent reason why it was done. But, if all reaon has been thrown out the window on .org, then I will state that I am glad that he and I are here. Welcome to your new home, Ferrariman.One question - How many moderators and / or website owners are there on this site? There seem to be moderators and "Super moderators". All of which leaves me saying "Huh?"

I snuck in over there one last time and was shocked at who's back...things will go to hell in a handbasket very quickly over there now......time to finally delete the whole thing from my "favorites" and move on as it has been suggested that we all do.....I can't take the contention and all the bs anyway so I'm glad to be here....hopefully all the neat stuff that can be transferred will be and this will be a fine place to hang out...I have lost Stingray's email - does anyone know how to get in touch with him?
