Marc
50 songs removed from GTA IV because their licences expired. https://www.vgr.com/grand-theft-auto-iv-removing-50-songs/ 1
Administrators James Posted April 30, 2018 Author Administrators Report Share Posted April 30, 2018 Woah, it was 50 of them!? I thought it was just Vladivostok FM and a handful from the other stations. That's a shame, this sort of thing takes away a lot from the atmosphere of the game. So I guess just don't download the latest patch if you want to keep it original. I wonder why they couldn't renew the licensing. Seems like either the labels didn't want it to continue, or charged a high price for the renewal? It just won't be the same not hearing this song at the beginning of the game. Equivalent to not hearing Billie Jean at the start of Vice City in the new versions. Gonna miss this classic too
Matt5
I also never realised it was 50 of them!

Matt5
A great song! - would have worked well in a Season 4 or 5 episode where there was a love interest for Tubbs or Crockett

I just mentioned it in another thread, but that song's just been re-released digitally via Amazon and iTunes. Another hard-to-find Vice track made more widely available! Incidentally, that's a great movie.

Matt5
Was just wondering if the Neil Young and Crazy Horse song “Like a Hurricane” inspired the title of the Season 4 landmark episode of the same name perhaps ...
