Coop, ever make your own?I just got done eating a pie I made.First of all it is cheaper than any pie I can order out. Secondly, I enjoy the taste of mine a lot more than most all others in town. There is one place that is to die for but it is not close and since lots of beer goes good with pizza, I don't wanna have to drive home. Also it is too far for take out, pie would be cold by the time I got it home.So I make my own.Sauce:If you buy a #10 can from Sams or just by about 4, twenty eight oz cans of crushed tomatoes you can make up a batch of sauce and freeze it into two cup fulls in zip lock freezer bags. You get about 5-6 bags and if you flatten them out thin, you can easily stack them in the freezer. Also since they are thin, they defrost in no time in a pot of water.Dough:Take two cups of bread flour (it has extra gluten) and put it in a mixing bowl or mixer (I use a Kitchenaide). Add a pinch or two of salt. Two table spoons of olive oil.Take 3/4 cup of warm (105-110* no hotter) water and dissolve in a packet of regular dry yeast. Add one table spoon of sugar and mix. Allow 7-10 minutes to proof. You should have a nice foamy concoction with a good head of foam on it. Start mixer and slowly pour in water and yeast. At this point a dough ball with start to form. Add flour or warm water slowly if needed.Place dough on clean counter and kneed dough into an nice smooth non sticky ball. About 5 minutes.Place in greased bowl and place in oven (do not turn temp on) with a damp cloth over it. Allow to rise for one hour.Dough should have doubled in size. This (two cups flour) will make one 12" pie.Carefully spread out and stretch dough to cover pan or you can roll it out with a rolling pin.Put one to two cups fulls of sauce on dough and spread.Put shredded cheese on pie and cover with favorite toppings. (I love pepperoni) Put in oven on the bottom rack preferably with a pizza stone on 450 for 12 minutes and check bottom to see if crush is done to likeness.Cut up and eat! Yummo!!! (Rachael Ray  )I know this all sounds like a lot of work but it really isn't.If you make up a # 10 can of sauce or a large pot of it, you will have it frozen for about 6 pies. All you have to do is take out of freezer and defrost. The dough really only takes about ten minutes to prep and make. The rest is really in waiting an hour to let it raise. I recommend you have a few Martinis while waiting. :)The cheese I buy packaged and shredded as with the pepperoni.Piece of cake, or pie in this case! :thumbsup:Enjoy.

My buddy pulled the old "unscrew the cap off the crushed red pepper shaker" trick on his girlfriend tonight while we were at dinner. Apparently this is routine... Lovebirds...

What do you mean by 'all dressed'? Would this be the equivalent to a 'super supreme' where everything is chucked on it? Although, it doesn't appear to be, from the picture???

Normally I have pizza Friday night, but I had other plans. I couldn't wait until Sunday when I'll be having a Digiorno pizza, so I got a couple of slices of pepperoni at a local pizza place. It isn't my favorite place to get pizza ($2.99/slice  ), but it satisfied my craving.

Just do what you know you have to do, and take care of your Pizza craving any way you can!:thumbsup::thumbsup:I love pizza.
